“Find Me in Your Memory” Actor Lee Jin Hyuk Criticized Following His Live Broadcast Issue

UP10TION member and actor Lee Jin Hyuk has posted an apology letter, following his recent controversy. He just recently made his acting debut in the drama "Find Me in Your Memory."

On April 30, Lee Jin Hyuk, alongside his co-stars Kim Seul Gi and Moon Ga Young, did a live broadcast on Instagram to promote their ongoing drama. Lee Jin Hyuk and Kim Seul Gi are a couple in the drama. During the broadcast, the latter spoke the words, "See you later, darling." Since "darling" is often used as a term of endearment by two people in a romantic relationship, and Kim Seul Gi's words were actually fitting for their characters in the drama.

However, some of Lee Jin Hyuk's fans criticized Kim Seul Gi for speaking those words, while some even posted malicious comments against her online.

Then, on May 8, on his live Instagram broadcast, the UP10TION member gave his response regarding the issue and said that he was not watching when she called him "darling." It means that he didn't notice what the actress told him. Lee Jin Hyuk continued and said that Kim Seul Gi already apologized to him, and also noted that she wasn't aware that she'd say that, that she'd been in the middle of filming and that she was very sorry. His response was he decided to just let it go.

His fan commented on the said live broadcast, saying that it would be tiring for a celebrity to take notice of those kinds of words and actions. The actor responded that aside from that, the main reason that he feels terrible is the quarrel among his fans that ensued. The singer-actor said that this is his first-ever drama as well as his debut project, and he doesn't want this drama to be remembered with a negative memory.

The Herald Pop news outlet then penned that the issue is actually the overreaction of some fans. Also, it was seen by other people that Lee Jin Hyuk had actually illustrated it as Kim Seul Gi's fault alone.

On top of this, it's been widely talked-about by several outlets that Lee Jin Hyuk is also being criticized for his attitude during the live broadcast. Some netizens expressed that he seemed arrogant and angry.

With all these issues going on, Lee Jin Hyuk shared a letter on his Instagram account on May 13, in which he asked for an apology and also expressed his gratitude towards the cast and crew of the drama.
