These 5 Korean Celebs at First Didn’t Plan to Become Actors
We're sure that almost all of us didn't end up in a career path that we initially planned on entering. The same goes to some Korean stars who never thought that they would end up in their present line of work.
Numerous Korean actors entered the acting industry just by luck or sometimes just by chance. And they never intended on becoming actors themselves. It's quite impossible to imagine that the stars that we are used to watch on our screens would not be the same actors since they would have pursued different career paths.
Surely, most Korean stars initially had different dreams or goals that they wanted to pursue which makes sense because some of us never dreamed of becoming an actor since we were young. Nevertheless, we are still grateful that these stars chose acting over other careers.

1. Lee Jong Suk
Lee Jong Suk at first wanted to pursue his dream to be the genius idol Rain while growing up. It even came to a point where he trained at an entertainment agency for quite some time with his hopes to debut. Unfortunately, Lee Jong Suk was forced to quit because the agency did not keep their promise of debuting him.
2. Lee Yu Bi
Actress Lee Yu Bi once revealed that she pursed the acting career path for a simple and uncomplicated reason. Back track to the time when the show Vampire Idol was conducting their auditions, the young actress decided to audition for a role for the main reason that she didn't want to go to school. That simple!
3. Jun Ji Hyun
At first, the "My Love From the Star" actress wanted to pursue the career of being a flight attendant while she was growing up, but due to a bad flight experience, the actress gave up her dream and pursued her career in acting, in which she succeeded.
4. Lee Jae Yoon
Lee Jae Yoon also shared that when he was still a child, he always has dreamt stardom. However, he never thought he would be famous as an actor. He was expecting that he would be popular by being an athlete or in the field of sports.
In an interview, Lee Jae Yoon expressed that ever since he was a child, he always wanted to become well-known and wants to represent his country as well as the Asian Continent as a whole.
He also stated, "I never wanted to become an actor. I wanted to become an athlete instead, or do something related to sports."
5. Lee Bo Young
Growing up, Lee Bo Young initially dreamt of becoming a news presenter. She even became a finalist when the network MBC was doing their yearly recruitment way back 2002. Sad to say, she was unable to get hold of the position. But it was not all bad since she became an actress after and is also successful in this field!
