Girls' Alert Jisung Faints at The Filming Set and Rushed to Emergency Room
Girl's Alert member Jisung lost consciousness while filming a web drama at DR Studio in Seoul's Mapo district.
The singer turned actress was rushed to the hospital after she suddenly collapsed on the set. On August 16 KST, agency ROOTS Entertainment representative released a statement in regards to Jisung's incident. The singer-actress was transported to the emergency room at Yonsei Severance Hospital in Mapo's Sinchon.
According to the reports, Jisung was in the middle of filming a scene when she suddenly vomited then passed out while filming a web drama on location in Seoul.
The agency ROOTS Entertainment advised, "The hospital's diagnosis was that Jisung had symptoms of enteritis (inflammation of the intestine). In relation to this, the idol needs more testing as required to get an accurate assessment of her condition."
The representative clarified that the idol-actress is in stable condition though Jisung insisted to continue working, "In the hospital, Jisung is determined to return to filming since other cast and crew is waiting for her to finish the scene. The doctor gave her an intravenous saline solution to help her finish what she started for the day on the set. Jisung is scheduled to get a more detailed examination to continue the required treatment necessary. She is showing good signs of recovery while on IV."
In medical description, Enteritis is caused by the inflammation of the small intestine which is likely due to viral or bacterial infection. We shall await for updates as Jisung will get examinations the next day.
Girls' Alert Jisung debuted in 2017 as the leader of the girl group, and got a titled name "60-idol" as she gained much attention for weighing 60 kg (132 pounds) for her above average height.
Although the idol was positive enough to continue working hard and received commercial modelling projects despite being nicknamed as such.
She now portrays Cho Hee in the web drama "Ugly Complex" based on a popular highschool romantic comedy drama in Naver Webtoon of the same name. This will be Jisung's acting debut in the entertainment industry.
