ASTRO Moonbin and SF9 Hwiyoung’s Web Drama ‘The Mermaid Prince’ Announces Premiere Date With Brand New Posters
'The Mermaid Prince: The Beginning' has unveiled its poster featuring the cast members' new look ahead of its premiere! ASTRO's Moonbin, Chae Wonbin, and SF9's Hwiyoung are the lead actors in this drama and Moonbin is the only actor staying in the cast from the first season.
'The Mermaid Prince: The Beginning' is a prequel of the fantasy romance drama of 'The Mermaid Prince'. The story will time hop the viewers in the past to the moment when Woo Hyuk's (ASTRO's Moonbin's) was still in his high school days in order to discover a deep secret hidden.
As seen in the original web series, we have witnessed the character of Woo Hyuk (ASTRO's Moonbin) who is a mysterious yet dreamy man. However, in the upcoming prequel, Moonbin is said to be portraying an opposite personality in the original series. He's going portray a mischievous teenage version of the character in 'The Mermaid Prince: The Beginning'.
Since the prequel will be set in a high school setting, the romance will be entirely different from that of the original series. 'The Mermaid Prince: The Beginning' will feature the love story that occurs when a high school girl named Jo Ara (Chae Won Bin) chose to give up on dating because she does not believe in love then she ends up crossing paths with Woo Hyuk (ASTRO's Moonbin).
On November 4, the drama has released new posters featuring their cast of actors namely: Moonbin, Chae Won Bin, SF9's Hwiyoung, Moon Sang Min, Yun Seo Bin, Jung Bo Min, and Yoo Na Gyeol who looked stunning in their school uniforms. In the poster the cast of characters are positioned next to one another inside their classroom giving us a hint of their connections to one another.
Chae Won Bin is standing with her hand at Moonbin's shoulders and she is positioned in the middle of Moonbin and Hwiyoung. Meanwhile, Yoo Na Gyeol leans toward Moonbin, showcasing the relationships among their four characters.
The next photo features the characters of Jung Bo Min's and Yun Seo Bin showing off their amazing chemistry as a couple.
In the last poster, Moonbin's stating the words which reads, "Do not like me!" to which Chae Won Bin's character responds, "Stop dreaming."
'The Mermaid Prince: The Beginning' is scheduled to premier on November 11. Be sure not to miss it! The web series is helmed by Director Kim Wan and penned by Writers Lee Soo Ah and Hong Seung Hyun.
On the other hand, the original series 'The Mermaid Prince', will take you to a romance story of a girl named Hye Ri. One day, she went to Gangwon Province on a graduation trip with her friends. There, she crossed paths with Woo Hyuk a mysterious man who manages a guest house. She eventually gets closer to him and falls for him then she decides to call him "the mermaid prince".
