‘Mr. Queen': Take a Glimpse of Shin Hye Sun’s Newly Released Photos for Her Upcoming Drama
After her last project with actor Kim Myung Soo in the drama "Angel's Last Mission: Love," Shin Hye Sun will be returning on the small screen with tvN's new drama "Mr. Queen."
The story is about a man from the present time whose soul gets trapped in a queen's body in the Joseon dynasty.
Shin Hye Sun will play the queen named Kim So Yong, the soul of Jang Bong Hwan, who was trapped inside her body. But the queen's life will never be as colorful without a king. On the other hand, Kim Jung Hyun will take the role of King Cheoljong, a person who seems to have a weak aura on the outside but has a keen and strong personality on the inside.
The newly released photos for the drama "Mr.Queen" show the other side of Shin Hye Sun. Her role in the upcoming drama is a strong queen, which not the typical character that she usually portrays. Here, she'll be a queen who is not scared to show her true personality in front of everybody.
As seen in the photo, the queen shows her charismatic look while wearing her beautifully made hanbok. It can also be seen that she is having a great time in the palace. She sits in front of the table and seems like she is not enjoying what she is seeing. The actress is also seen running while wearing a hanbok, a not so typical move for a queen to do inside the palace, which shows her comedic side.

These photos give the audience excitement, who are anticipating Shin Hye Sun's comeback in a new historical drama.
Meanwhile, the actress expressed her opinion about the new project, "I find the script refreshing and funny. Also, I have wanted to act in a comdey-historical drama. I was impressed and completely drawn in by the script, for it includes both genres (historical and comedy). The role is also completely different from the past characters that I have portrayed, so I show my interest and accept the project. This is also an opportunity to show a new side of me."
The character of Kim So Yong is a combination of a Joseon dynasty queen, who used to live under strict discipline, and a strong man from the modern-day in Korea. These two characters from different times, with different personalities and behavior, will meet each other. Kim Yong will be living like a queen in the palace with a strong spirit and fear no one.
The drama will be giving a fun and tense vibe that will surely be enjoyed by the viewers. The much-awaited historical drama of the year, "Mr.Queen," is set to air its pilot episode on Dec. 12 at 9:00 p.m (KST).
