Cast of ‘My Roommate Is Gumiho’ Jang Ki Yong, Hyeri & More: Present During the First Script Reading
A new fantasy drama is coming this 2021. The cast of the much-awaited series "My Roommate is Gumiho" gathered together for their first script reading.
"My Roommate is Gumiho" Cast Were All Set to Start Filming
On March 17, tvN released on their official YouTube channel a short video clip during the first script reading for the drama "My Roommate is Gumiho." Present at the event were actors Jang Ki Yong, Hyeri, Bae In Hyuk, Kim Do Wan, Kang Han Na, Kim Do Yeon, and more.
Everyone warmly greeted each other and seemed like they had seen familiar faces, which gave the cast a brighter atmosphere and established a healthy relationship during their first day of getting to know other actors and the production team.
Old and New Faces Are About to Work for an Exciting Fantasy Drama
One by one, the members of the cast introduced themselves. Starting from "Born Again" star Jang Ki Yong, he will star as Shin Woo Yeo, a handsome and brilliant professor who is also a 999-year-old gumiho. In order for him to permanently become a human, there is one thing he should do; he needs to successfully collect human energy. The 28-year-old actor is expected to show again another compelling character that would easily capture the hearts of the viewers.
Girl's Day Hyeri radiates a bright energy during the event, she impressively immerses herself in her upcoming character as Lee Dam, a easy going college student who accidentally swallows the bead of Shin Woo Yeo. Their unexpected encounter will lead them to live together until they find the right solution to their life-changing problem.
Also, Kim Do Wan and Kang Han Na were also in the script reading. This project marked their second drama together following their hit series "Start Up." The two were seen sitting next to each other, showing how comfortable they are to be working again.
Kim Do Wan is Do Jae In, Lee Dam's close friend and a man who is still in search of true love. Kang Han Na is expected to play the role of Yang Hye Sun, a friend of Shin Woo Yeo, who is also a gumiho. She is almost perfect for being beautiful and kind, but she sometimes can easily be fooled.
Baek In Hyuk will be starring as a college senior of Lee Dam, Gye Sun Woo. He is very famous in their university for being extremely perfect from head to toe. He also has secret feelings for Lee Dam. He tries to confess his love but he fails as his friend turns him down.
Meanwhile, Kim Do Yeon will be returning to acting on this drama project. She is about to portray the character of Gye Seo Woo, younger sister of Gye Sun Woo. She is a mature and very straightforward person.
These actors had so much fun while reading the script. They showed a variety of emotions that feels like they are 100 percent ready to go filming already. Everyone is excited to be working with each other. On the other hand, "My Roommate is Gumiho" will kick off in the first half of 2021.
