‘Penthouse 3’ Teaser Shows Yoon Jong Hoon and Bong Tae Gyu’s Struggle as Inmates

Korean drama "Penthouse 3" teases fans with intriguing sneak peeks of Yoon Jong Hoon and Bong Tae Gyu outside the Hera Palace.

SBS recently dropped new stills for the much-awaited season with a whole new look of Ha Yoon Cheol (Yoon Jong Hoon) and Lee Gyu Jin ( Bong Tae Gyu.)

Wearing their prison overalls, the doctor-turned-hotshot businessman, together with the politician, appears to struggle inside the prison as they attempt to survive and live alongside their fellow inmates.

Over the broadcasting network's official Instagram, both newly detained inmates were seen applauding despite a confused look on their faces.

Meanwhile, another "Penthouse 3" still cuts also showed the horrified Assemblyman Lee, who was being mobbed by a tattooed prisoner. "Did you get used to your cell life? Gyujin and Dr. Ha look tough already," the caption reads.

Following this, a production crew lauded the actors' impressive portrayals and their "distinct" chemistry. "Bong Tae Gyu and Yoon Jong Hoon are actors with distinctive charms who strike the perfect balance between fun lightheartedness and seriousness," a representative explained as cited by a South Korean outlet.

Moreover, the production crew hints about the obstacles and possible dangers that they might encounter.

"Please keep an eye on how Lee Gyu Jin and Ha Yoon Cheol, who wind up facing danger upon danger, manage to survive prison life."

"Penthouse 2" Recap: Eugene's Confession

To recall, Ha Yoon Cheol and Lee Gyu Jin were sentenced to two years in prison due to their involvement with Min Seol Ah's murder, which Jo Soo Min portrayed.

In the season finale of "Penthouse 2: War in Life," Oh Yoon Hee ( S.E.S.'s Eugene) also confessed to the crime and revealed the people who were involved.

Aside from the duo, Yoon Hee, together with Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon,) Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon,) Kang Ma Ri (Shin Eun Kyung), and Go Sang Ah (Yoon Joo Hee) were also sentenced for covering Min Seol Ah's death.

Prior to the new teaser, SBS recently dropped still cuts featuring the same struggle of Shin Eun Kyung and Yoon Joo Hee characters inside their cell.

Just like Dr. Ha and Assemblyman Lee, his wife Go Sang Ah and fellow Hera Palace member Kang Ma Ri live a very different life and far from their glamorous lifestyle.

"Penthouse 3" Cast and Release Date

With just two weeks away from its premiere, "Penthouse 3" will officially release its first episode on June 4 and is scheduled to air every Friday.

Most cast members will reprise their roles with two additional characters--Joon Ki and Yoo Dong Pil, played by Ohn Joo Wan and Park Ho San.

Both were introduced in the "Penthouse 2" season finale and were related to Logan Lee's death.

To recall, Joon Ki was the mysterious man sitting next to him on the plane, while Yoo Dong Pil is Kang Mari's husband who was imprisoned because of Joo Dan Tae.
