'Mouse' Actor Lee Seung Gi Leaving Agency Hook Entertainment After 17 Years

"Mouse" actor Lee Seung Gi is leaving the agency that has looked after his career for the last 17 years. The agency, Hook Entertainment, said so itself.

The actor, who is the man of the hour because of his alleged relationship status, made his acting debut in June 2004. Through the guidance of this agency, he became a household name quickly enough. On May 24, the agency announced that the actor would now part ways to establish his own company.

There is no bad blood between the actor and the agency. Hook Entertainment implies that it completely understands the actor's move.

According to the agency, the actor's exclusive contract with it will be ending on May 31.

"Although we've been together for a long time even before his debut with a relationship based on a trust, he recently decided to establish a new one-man agency and promote independently, so we agreed to maintain a cooperative relationship in the future," it announced.

The agency is full of gratitude and well-wishes for the actor. It thanked Lee Seung Gi for staying this long with the agency even as his career grew tremendously through the years. He's now one of the most recognizable Korean artists, given all the drama series he did.

The agency also said that it is genuinely thankful for the fans as they have loved and supported the actor through the years. As a sign that the agency is without any bitterness over the actor's decision, the agency also implored the fans to continue supporting the actor down the road. It even pledges to continue giving its best support for the actor as he embarks on the challenging journey of an independent artist.

On the same day, it was reported by Sports Chosun that Lee Seung Gi would not be establishing the agency on his own but with his father. However, this is yet to be confirmed by the actor himself.

Lee Seung Gi Dating Lee Da In?

Around the same time, reports had it that Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In are officially dating.

According to Sports Kyunghyang, Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In have been dating since the end of 2020 but were careful to keep their relationship under wraps.

According to the news outlet, having a similar passion for acting as well as a common hobby of playing golf was enough for them to start liking each other.

Sports Kyunghyang also revealed that there were many industry insiders how already noticed Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In dating. Some even claimed that on Lee Seung Gi's break from shooting "Mouse," he would spend his time with Lee Da In.

Insiders also claimed that the two have already gradually opened up about their relationship with close family members.

A source from Lee Da In's agency 9Ato Entertainment even said that upon checking in with the actress herself, they learned that for six months, she and Lee Seung Gi have been trying to get to know each other more.

Subsequently, the news is now solidified with pictures from Dispatch.

Dispatch, the usual outlet behind so many "relationship reveals," has released photos of Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In on an outing together, particularly in Gangwon Province back in the late fall of 2020.
