What You Need to Know About the Upcoming K-Drama "The Veil"
The 43-year-old actor will return to K-drama following the success of his 2020 series "Awaken."
For his upcoming drama, Namgoong Min is set to take on the role of a lead elite field agent at the NIS (National Intelligence Service) named Han Ji Hyuk.
He will be working alongside Park Ha Sun, Kim Ji Eun, Kwon So Hyun, and a roster of powerhouse cast.
Helmed by "My Healing Love" director Kim Sung Yong and penned by screenwriter Park Seok Ho, "The Veil" is slated to air on September 1 and will be the newest Wednesday and Thursday drama under MBC.
The forthcoming action drama follows the story of Han Ji Hyuk, who vanishes in the face of the earth and goes missing after dealing with an organized crime syndicate.
After a year of going off the radar, the former top agent then made a grand return by joining a crime syndicate to track the traitor responsible for his downfall.

In the still cuts, the broadcasting network showed off the actor's major shift from being a snappy lead field agent to becoming a completely different person sporting a grimy appearance.
According to an outlet, the producers lauded the 43-year-old star for his portrayal and revealed that they "trust" him as an actor.

Apart from the upcoming crime drama, Namgoong Min is set to reprise his role as Na Yi Je in the new season of the hit series, "Doctor Prisoner."
"Doctor Prisoner" Season 2 will be helmed again by directors Song Min Yeop and Hwang In Hyuk together with screenwriter Park Kye Ok, who also penned the previous season.
