Girl's Day's Minah, Kwon Hwawoon, and More Attend Script Reading for New MBC Rom-Com Drama
Girl's Day's Minah, Kwon Hwawoon, Ahn Wooyeon, UP10TION's Lee Jinhyuk, and Nam Kyuhee attend the first script reading for new romantic comedy drama, "Please Check the Event."

Girl's Day member Minah has appeared in several dramas, such as "Master's Sun," "The Miracle," "Sweet, Savage Family," "My Absolute Boyfriend," and the fan-favourite "Beautiful Gong Shim."
Kwon Hwa Woon, on the other hand, starred in "SKY Castle," "Lie After Lie," "Zombie Detective," "Doctor John," and in the 2020 crime-mystery drama "Mouse."

As for Ahn Woo Yeon, he had main and supporting roles in several dramas like "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," "Alchemist," "The Banker," "Circle," "Don't Dare to Dream," and "Age of Youth 2."
The trio will work together for the first time in the new romantic comedy series "Please Check the Event." Fans expressed their excitement and anticipation and showed support in different social networking sites.
Please Check the Event Plot and Cast
"Please Check the Event" is a quirky romantic comedy that tells the story of two ex-lovers who won an exclusive couples' vacation getaway in a lottery that they joined before they broke up. The ex-couple got in a truce, pretended to be a couple, and travelled to Jeju Island together with several other couples.
Girl's Day's Minah will play the role of Ha Song Yi, a botanical garden coordinator, who's trying to mend her broken heart after breaking up with her long-time boyfriend.

In the script reading video released by MBC, Minah introduces her character as a "woman who is quirky, cheerful, confident, and honest about her feelings."
Ha Song Yi's ex-boyfriend Park Do Kyum is going to be played by Kwon Hwa Woon. Park Do Kyum is the leader and frontman vocalist of an indie band. Kwon Hwa Woon describes his character as a "man who is proud but sincerely loves only one woman."
The tour guide, Seo Ji Kang, will be played by Ahn Woo Yeon. He is a cheerful and bright tour guide who ends up developing romantic feelings for Ha Song Yi over the course of the trip.

As Ahn Woo Yeon explains, "Seo Ji Kang is a writer who chose to become Jeju Island's tour guide to observe the couples for his essays."
UP10TION's Lee Jin Hyuk and Nam Kyu Hee will play dancer and YouTube couple vloggers, Song Jong Ho and No Hyo Jung.
Seasoned actors Kim Young Sun and Kim Hee Chang will also join the cast as Hyun Kyung Mi and Kang Jae Nam, the oldest couple on the trip.
Drama Pre-Production and Release Date
The drama will be directed by Kim Ji Hoon and Lee Han Jun for MBC. "Please Check the Event" will premiere in August.
