Song Hye Kyo in Talks to Reunite with ‘Descendants of the Sun’ Director For Upcoming Mystery Thriller Drama
Song Hye Kyo is currently in discussions to star in upcoming mystery-thriller drama under "Descendants of the Sun" director.
In a new report cited by Newsen, the Hallyu queen is in talks to star in a new project directed by PD Lee Eung Bok. According to a source, the 39-year-old beauty has agreed to lead the cast that would show the different side of the sought-after actress.
"It is to my knowledge that Song Hye Kyo made a verbal agreement to star in director Lee Eung Bok's new drama," a representative explained as obtained by the local outlet.
To recall, Song Hye Kyo previously worked with the renowned director for the mega-hit K-drama "Descendants of the Sun." If she confirms her appearance, this will be a reunion project for the duo following the success of their 2016 drama.
Apart from Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki's drama, PD Lee Eung Bok also helmed several remarkable and top rating dramas - this includes the fantasy rom-com "Goblin," starring Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun.
In addition, he also created the drama "Mr. Sunshine" and the K-zombie series "Sweet Home."
Now, the veteran PD is currently working with the soon-to-be-released drama "Cliffhanger," which stars Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon.

Song Hye Kyo Reunites with "Descendants of the Sun" Screenwriter in "The Glory"
Interestingly, PD Lee Eung Bok is not the only one who's being reunited with Song Hye Kyo as "Descendants of the Sun" screenwriter Kim Eun Sook is working alongside the Hallyu queen for his upcoming drama.
The South Korean actress' new drama "The Glory" is penned by the veteran writer.
In this revenge thriller series, the Hallyu queen is set to portray the role of Moon Dong Eun, a high school bully survivor who seeks revenge against her perpetrators.
In addition, the upcoming tvN series is rumored to have multiple seasons. This means that fans would get to see more of the actress on the small screen.
Song Hye Kyo and Jang Ki Yong's K-Drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up"
Before her "The Glory" and her rumored drama with PD Lee Eung Bok, Song Hye Kyo's soon-to-be-released series with the "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" star, Jang Ki Yong.
The duo, alongside the powerhouse cast, is currently filming "Now, We Are Breaking Up," which is set to be released on November 12 and will air every Friday and Saturday.
Apart from the "Full House" star and Jang Ki Yong, the cast members also include EXO's Sehun, Choi Hee Seo, Kim Joo Heon, and more.
