Ex-GFriend Member Yerin to Make Her Acting Debut in ‘The Witch Shop: Reopen’
Talented and former GFriend member Yerin was cast to lead the upcoming web drama!
Following the disbandment of the K-pop girl group GFriend, the members have started to choose their own career paths. And one of them is already showing potential to pursue acting.
Actress Yerin is finally coming!
Various media outlets have confirmed the news that Jung Ye Rin, popularly known as Yerin, is about to debut as an actress in the forthcoming web series "The Witch Shop: Reopen."
Yerin is cast to portray the role of Lee Hae Na, a dark witch who owns the witch shop. Apart from being a witch, Hae Na also likes to gossip about almost everything around her, and one of her specialties is cursing humans. She is a magical lady who is blessed with beauty, talent, and charm. But despite all these characteristics, she lacks in business sales which is primarily needed for her restaurant.
What to Know About The Witch Shop: Reopen
Yerin's first drama "The Witch Shop: Reopen" tells the story of a dark witch and her highschool business partner. The two will meet in an unexpected situation to start reviving the witch shop.
Way back 2019, the web drama "Welcome, The Witch Shop" has received favorable comments from the viewers. The series was able to exceed 10 million views online on various platforms. And this 2021, in order to continue the successful start, the production team of the drama decided to release a sequel of the web series which is "The Witch Shop: Reopen."

CIX Member Yonghee to Join Yerin in The Witch Shop: Reopen
Another idol will be joining Yerin on board. None other than CIX member Yonghee, he is expected to play the character of Ji Ho, a high school student who is always determined to finish a task once he puts his focus to it. But even though he is hard working he sometimes experiences down moments which leads him to be unmotivated and remains as an ordinary student who has no big dreams.
His life will start to change when he coincidentally meets the evil witch Lee Hae Na.
Meanwhile, after confirming her acting debut, Yerin has shared a message to all her fans, "I am both happy and excited that I am about to greet my fans again and show a new side of me." Yerin also mentioned that she is nervous to work with the drama project since it will be her first time to become an actress, but she assured her supporters that she will work hard to show a good performance on her first-ever drama.
"The Witch Shop: Reopen" will be meeting the audience in December of this year. Watch out for actress Yerin and actor Yonghee!
