 “The Mentalist” Season 6 Episode 7 has finally revealed who killed Patrick Jane’s (Simon Baker) wife and daughter. Has ten years of search finally come to an end for Baker?

Sunday’s episode of “The Mentalist” has made quite a number of revelations including the identity of Red John. As it turned out, Red John is CBI Director, Gale Bertram played by Michael Gaston.

By the end of episode 7, Jane made his discovery known to the public through a press conference.

As “Mentalist” fans know by now, Jane has a number of suspects on his list as to who was behind the murder of his family.

These included Bret Stiles (Malcolm McDowell), Ray Haffner (Reed oDiamond) and Thomas McAllister (Xander Berkeley). But none of the three played out as the one behind the killings.

They may have been off the hook, for now, but what happened to the three suspects?

According to tvguide.com, they were killed at an explosion at Jane’s house on Episode 6, last week.

Reed Smith played by Drew Powell, survived the incident. He then surrendered himself, added tvguide.com, confessing that he is one of Red John’s cohorts.

But where is Red John. The notorious John slipped authorities. After his failure to kill Jane, he was last seen riding at the back of a getaway car.

Will Jane be able to catch up to him?

“The Mentalist” writer, John Harper said that the explosion at Jane’s house “will be addressed” at next week’s episode.
