Red Velvet's Wendy will be the first artist to sing the OST of TVING's K-drama "Yumi's Cell" starring Kim Go Eun and Ahn Bo Hyun. 

The 27-year-old Kpop star will lend her voice for the drama's soundtrack titled "Does He Care About Me." 

Set to be released on September 17, which is also the much-awaited premiere of Kim Go Eun's new drama, the said "Yumi's Cells" OST is composed by Lim Soo Ho, the genius behind IU's "Lilac" and Chung Ha's "Why Don't You Know."

With this, the Red Velvet member, whose real name is Son Seung Wan, is once again captivating her fans' hearts with her charming and strong vocals that compliment the harmony of the track.

 "Does He Care About Me" is about harboring a strong affection for someone and wishes to love her back by the same person. Moreover, the "Yumi's Cells" first OST highlights heart-fluttering emotions of genuine love.

'Yumi's Cells' Release Date, Cast and Everything We Need to Know

Directed by "Shopping King Louie" and "A Piece of Your Mind" PD Lee Sang Yeob, Ahn Bo Hyun, and Kim Go Eun's new drama is based on the popular webtoon written by Donggun Lee. 

It follows the story of Kim Yumi, portrayed by the "Goblin" star who acts as an ordinary office employee with an extraordinary life.

After falling from a coma due to a traumatic heartbreak, she struggled to process her emotions, feelings, and thoughts; however, due to the support by her adorable friends, her cells, Yumi managed to get through and live a normal life. 

To make things interesting, she meets Goo Woong, played by Ahn Bo Hyun. In the drama, he portrays a skilled game developer who is straightforward but has a warmhearted persona. 

Joining the duo is Park Ji Hyun as Goo Woong's colleague Seo Sae Yi, sparking the love triangle between Yumi and the game developer. 

'Yumi's Cells' cast also includes Lee Yu Bi and Park Jin Young, who took in the role of Yoo Babi. 

The TVING's upcoming drama is scheduled to air on September 17 at 10:50 p.m. KST.

'Yumi's Cells' PD Lauds the Chemistry of Kim Go Eun and Ahn Bo Hyun

TVING held a press conference to introduce the lead stars and share a glimpse of the drama ahead of the "Yumi's Cells" premiere. 

During the media briefing, PD Lee Sang Yeob revealed that the upcoming series is "harder" than he thought, given that the drama features animation and 3D effects. 

"It wasn't easy to mix live-action with 3D animation," said director Lee Sang Yeob. "It was harder than I'd expected," he mentioned. 

As for the lead stars, the director went all praises for 30-year-old beauty and the "Itaewon Class" actor pointing out their unique chemistry even just by looking into each other's eyes, adding, "They really seemed like Yumi and Woong."

Meanwhile, Ahn Bo Hyun shared that it was an "honor" to star alongside Kim Go Eun, who worked with several Hallyu stars, including Lee Min Ho, Gong Yoo, and Lee Dong Wook. 

The same goes for the "Goblin" star who lauded how Ahn Bo Hyun managed to transform himself as the webtoon character.
