Seohyun Gets Honest Regarding her Transition from KPop Star to Actress

Initially, Seohyun made her debut as a member of the girl group Girls' Generation back in 2007.

Formed by SM Entertainment, the eight-member group consisting of Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun redefined the status of Kpop stars in the Hallyu world.

As for Seohyun, she has decided to try her luck in acting and made a theatrical debut in 2014.

She landed her first-ever lead role in the "Moon Embracing the Sun" musical.

Her transition from singer to actress allowed her to prove that she is more than just a pretty face.

After leaving SM Entertainment in 2017 and signing under Namoo Actors, fans got to see her acting skills in her first Kdrama lead role, "Ruby Ruby Love," with Lee Chul Woo and Lee Yi Kyung.

With a decade-long career in showbiz, the SNSD member got to talk about her honest thoughts about being an actress.

She says that there are times when she feels difficulty in acting, especially when it's hard for her to express her emotions, but it is the job that she loves.

"It's hard at times because it's a job that expresses emotions. But because it's a job I love, I try to have a positive and productive mindset rather than thinking that it's hard when I'm tired," she said.

Due to her charisma and talent, she is slowly becoming Hallyu's rising leading star with a slew of notable Kdramas under her wing.

However, when asked about how she chose her character, Seohyun shares that she is not picky when it comes to roles.
