Lee Se Young Reveals Her Deleted Kiss Scene With Lee Junho in ‘The Red Sleeve Cuff’ + Talks About Her Chemistry With the 2PM Member
The much-awaited interview of Lee Se Young is finally out. There, the actress gets honest about her experiences working with "The Red Sleeve Cuff" and her chemistry with Lee Junho.
As much as the viewers enjoyed watching MBC's "The Red Sleeve Cuff," its cast also confessed in some of their behind-the-scenes clips how happy they were working on the series.
Lee Se Young Grateful to Work With 'The Red Sleeve Cuff' Team
Lead star Lee Se Young sat in her first interview after the successful finale of the Sageuk drama. She still feels overwhelmed by the love and support she continued to receive for "The Red Sleeve Cuff."
In the series, she played as Sung Deok Im, a straightforward and smart court lady who wanted to protect the life she chose.
The drama was praised for setting a new standard for women in historical dramas by embodying the life of a court lady, which was rarely seen in the previous historical dramas.
During the interview, Lee Se Young shared that the cast and crew spent four seasons together for seven months and she was grateful that the viewers gave her so much love. She added that they were encouraged and inspired by the hot response of the viewers.
The "Kairos" star said that she was able to work on the project happily until the last day with lots of fun.
How Lee Se Young Prepared for Sung Deok Im's Character
When talking about her character, Lee Se Young explained, "I had to act so the viewers could understand Sung Deok Im's true identity. I focused on revealing better the restrictions as a court lady and the things I had to give up."
She continued, "Since it's a romantic historical drama, I paid attention so the viewers could notice a little more love than I felt when I read the original novel. Sung Deok Im had the room to choose for herself, but she nevertheless lived too hard."

Meanwhile, Lee Se Young shared her chemistry with Lee Junho, "I started to match with Junho's vibe even when we were not talking and had to connect with each other through emotions. Our teamwork was great, I was able to get close to him and learned new things from Junho. I received a lot of help from him in terms of acting."

As to what she said in her previous appearance in Noon Song of Hope last December 28, Lee Se Young mentioned her desire to work with Lee Junho in a modern drama.
The actress also revealed for the first time the deleted kiss scene of her and Lee Junho in "The Red Sleeve Cuff."
According to her, in the original script, there was a scene in which Yi San kisses Sung Deok Im on the back of her shoulder. There, Deok Im also reveals a little bit of her skin too, but was not included in the broadcast.
Lee Se Young is nonetheless satisfied with the outcome of the series.
