Rain Revealed How Kim Tae Hee Rejected Him Multiple Times
In Netflix's "The Hungry And The Hairy," where Rain is one of the main hosts alongside Ro Hong Chul, they've invited "One the Woman" star Honey Lee, also known as one of Kim Tae Hee's close friends in showbiz.
In one of the episodes, the 39-year-old Hallyu actor revealed that he tried to ask his now-wife for a date but ended up being turned down five times, noting that the rejection was so painful.
"During those times, she hurt me so much that I had to put a bandage on my heart," he candidly shared.
On the other hand, the beauty queen turned actress recalled Kim Tae Hee's first impression of the "Ninja Assassin" star.

Honey Lee mentioned that the "Stairway to Heaven" actress thinks Rain is sweet and caring to all the other girls.
Interestingly, the singer-actor shared the same stance and agreed that his wife thinks that he was a "playboy."
"I think she thought I did that to all girls for some reason. She took me as a playboy," he said.

Fortunately, he did not give up and showed his genuine intention towards the actress.
As the show continued, he recalled how he gained her trust and that is opening up to Kim Tae Hee-including the issues that involved other girls.
"I decided to be completely honest with her. So, I told her everything-the truth. I told her which part she knew was true and which part was false. I think my honesty won her heart. She opened her heart to me after that," the singer-actor revealed.
According to Channel Korea, Rain was smitten by Kim Tae Hee's beauty and fell in love at first sight.
In 2012, the couple started dating secretly, but their budding romance was hit by controversy after reports sparked in 2013 that the actor broke military service guidelines after going out with the actress.
Due to this, Rain was punished to seven days of confinement.
After years of dating, Rain and Kim Tae Hee have decided to tie a knot in 2017.
At the time, the ceremony, which lasted around one and a half hours, was only attended by the couple's parents, siblings, and close friends.
Now, the power couple is blessed with two children but reminds hush hush about their private lives.
Rain is currently starring in tvN's medical fantasy Kdrama "Ghost Doctor" while Kim Tae Hee is in talks to make a small screen comeback with the series "Sage of Calligraphy Wang Xi Zhi."
