KBS2's eighth installment of the "School" franchise, "School 2021," finally ended on Thursday, January 13 with a relatively low viewership rating. Kim Yo Han and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol, rising actors who led the drama, shared their thoughts on its ending.
'School 2021' Ends with Relatively Low Viewership Ratings
"School 2021" depicts the stories of different hopeful students who aim to reach their dreams despite life's unprecedented hurdles and challenges.
The drama recorded a solid rating of 2.8% with its pilot episode, which aired on November 24, 2021. It steadily recorded an average of 1% rating with its succeeding episodes, and never rescued the plummeting ratings.
The 16th and final episode of the drama, which aired on January 13, recorded a rating of 1.6% nationwide.
Kim Yo Han and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol Share Bid Goodbye to 'School 2021'
Rising actors Kim Yo Han and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol, together with fellow promising stars Cho Chi Hyun and Chu Young Woo, showed off their refreshing acting skills through "School 2021."
In the drama, the two played the roles of Gong Ki Jun and Kang Seo Yeong, respectively.
Kim Yo Han expressed his gratitude to the viewers who supported the drama from the get-go. He also thanked his co-stars, the writer and director as well as the drama's production unit.
On the other hand, Hwang Bo Reum Byeol said that she learned and improved a lot through the recently concluded drama.
Apart from the amazing experience and the life lessons, her newfound friends are one of the things the actress will treasure.

The two actors received recognition for their acting performances, which exuded cheerfulness and youthful energy that contributed to their growth as actors.
Kim Yo Han and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol Reveal Future Career Plans
When asked about their plans for their career in the future, Kim Yo Han revealed what kind of acting role he wants to do in the future.
He said, "I want to try portraying a character like Choi Woong, played by Choi Woo Sik sunbae-nim (senior) in "Our Beloved Summer." I want to try romance once more."

Kim Yo Han also hinted at his solo debut and said, "Through this solo activity, I will show the viewers a variety of my talents as a singer and an actor."
"I will work hard to show an improved Kim Yo Han in the future that everyone will love. Please anticipate and give a lot of support in the future!," he concluded.
On the other hand, Hwang Bo Reum Byeol promises to come back soon with a better acting performance. She promised, "I will do my best to become an actress who can show a greater image in a new project in the future!"
