The 33-year-old social media personality is a former member of the Korean hip-hop group WE, a four member mixed group that debuted in 2011 under ent102. She used Rosie as her stage name and was the only girl in the team. Macho, Kang Han and Mando were her previous bandmates.

She added that WE's goal was to gain fans among the Korean public; to their surprise, the group had many more foreign supporters. Hence, after doing some live performances, WE ended up disbanding because their previous company wasn't in a situation to support them anymore in releasing new albums.
'Single's Inferno' Star Receives Harsh Comments Upom Knowing Her Idol Journey
Kang So Yeon shared that she was often told that her life was a failure after ending her career as a K-pop idol.
The female star mentioned that she received harsh comments from some people regarding her music career. Others would say that she's not a real singer and their group's song was not real music.
Since people already recognized Kang So Yeon as a member of a K-pop group before, the "Single's Inferno" contestant shared some snaps of her idol days on her Instagram. She also wrote in the caption that not many people knew her back then, but since her "Single's Inferno" journey started, she's getting so much love now and feels grateful every day.

Kang So Yeon is now gaining popularity. Thanks to Netflix's recent dating reality show, the former idol had a restart in her career. Apart from her newly established career, Kang So Yeon is the CEO of her own gym, HitFit Boxing.
