Kim Woo Bin Talks About his New Role for his Kdrama Comeback 

During the Esquire Korea team interview, the Hallyu actor was asked about his thoughts regarding his new Kdrama "Our Blues" and its new concept since it's an omnibus-style series. 

Kim Woo Bin described it as "a new type of drama," hinting how it will be different from other series. Explaining the main focus of "Our Blues," he tells the outlet that "there are main episodes for each character" and will show each other's connection as the story progresses.

In the forthcoming Kdrama, the 32-year-old star took on the role of ship captain Park Jung Joon who has a "bright and warm personality," as the actor described his role.

Although he and longtime girlfriend Shin Min Ah will both star in "Our Blues" the actor will be paired with Han Ji Min, who plays his senior captain Lee Young Ok.

The South Korean star has all the good words to describe his working relationship with "Our Blues" screenwriter No Nee Kyung. 

As the interview continued, Kim Woo Bin mentioned how well and detailed the script was written, noting that it reached a "high level of perfection."

Interestingly, the actor also shared why he was casted to play the role of Park Jung Hoon. He was told that he and the character both have similarities and fit so well portraying it. 

Apart from it, "The Heirs" star expressed his gratitude towards the screenwriting, pointing out how the character "healed" him. 

Explaining his experience, Kim Woo Bin said, "thanks to the script, I got a lot of healing. My body was tired while filming the work, but my mind was really happy," adding that he "liked the moments playing Jung Joon."

Kim Woo Bin will be joined by the star-studded cast including Shin Min Ah, Lee Byung Hun, Cha Seung Won, Lee Jung Eun, Uhm Jung Hwa and more as the lead stars of "Our Blues."

Interestingly, he also revealed that he was simultaneously filming his upcoming film "Alien + People" while doing production for the omnibus-style series. 

Kim Woo Bin's Big-Screen Comeback

The upcoming action sci-fi film is one of Kim Woo Bin's projects this 2022. 

Joining him are Ryu Joon Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, "One the Woman" star Honey Lee, So Ji Sub and Joo Woo Jin. 

To recall, his last film was the 2016 action crime movie "Master" alongside award-winning actor Lee Byung Hun.
