Confirmed! Choi Won Young, Han Chae Ah, More To Join Jung Chaeyeon, Yook Sungjae in New MBC Drama
Veteran stars Choi Won Young, Son Yeo Eun, Choi Dae Cheol and Han Chae Ah confirmed their participation in the forthcoming MBC drama "Gold Spoon," adding vitality and strength. Moreover, "Gold Spoon" will be headlined by Jung Chaeyeon, Yook Sungjae and Lee Jong Won.
Choi Won Young, Han Chae Ah, More Confirmed To Join MBC's 'Gold Spoon' Lineup
Choi Won Young, Son Yeo Eun, Choi Dae Cheol and Han Chae Ah return to the small screen with MBC's newest drama!
The forthcoming MBC drama "Gold Spoon" centers around the story of a child born in a poor household who wishes to change his life and become richer. One day, he meets a woman who literally changes his life.
The drama stars Yook Sungjae, Jung Chaeyeon, Lee Jong Won and Yeonwoo. On February 22, the addition of Choi Won Young, Son Yeo Eun, Choi Dae Cheol and Han Chae Ah was confirmed.
Yook Sungjae takes on the role of Lee Seung Cheon, a man wishing to be rich one day after being born in a poor household. Lee Jong Won takes on the role of Hwang Tae Yong, his only friend. On the other hand, Jung Chaeyeon and Yeonwoo play the role of Na Joo Hee and Oh Yeo Jin, respectively.
Choi Won Young, who showed off sterling performances in "Moonshine," "Reflection of You" and "SKY Castle," takes on the role of Hwang Hyun Do, Hwang Tae Yong's father. He's the chairman of the Doshin Group and he'll do anything for money, power and success.
Son Yeo Eun plays Seo Young Shin, Hwang Hyun Do's wife and Hwang Tae Yong's stepmother. To gain political power, she is married off to the chairman. The actress recently starred in the thriller drama "The Tragedy of One."
On the other hand, actor Choi Dae Cheol takes on the role of Lee Cheol, Lee Seung Cheon's hard working father. Formerly a scriptwriter, he now focuses on his passion and dream of becoming a published and recognized webtoon writer.

Lastly, Han Chae Ah takes on the role of Jin Seon Hye, Lee Seung Cheon's loving mother. She's a supportive wife to Lee Cheol, who tries to provide for their family despite the harsh reality.
The two stars are expected to show amazing chemistry as husband and wife in the drama. They previously appeared in dramas "When the Camellia Blooms" and "Vagabond," and "Introverted Boss" respectively.
"Gold Spoon" is expected to deliver a world class drama as it stars actors with absolute strong, refined skills in acting. The differences in the two families in the drama are also a few of the factors to anticipate.
MBC's 'Gold Spoon' Release Date, What We Know for Now
"Gold Spoon" is directed by Song Hyun Wook, the director of the award-winning film "The Beauty Inside." His sensuous directing skills are coupled with the honey-like script written by "Prime Minister and I" writers Kim Eun Hee and Yoon Eun Kyung.
The drama will be produced by Samhwa Networks and Studio N, the same networks that produced top notch dramas like "Now, We Are Breaking Up," "The Fiery Priest," "Sweet Home," "Yumi's Cells," "Our Beloved Summer" and more.
"Gold Spoon" airs sometime in 2022.
