Park Bo Gum Courted To Portray the Role of CEO Kang Tae Mu
Korean heartthrob Park Bo Gum is known for his impeccable acting and strong on-screen presence. May it be in melodrama, historical, or romance, he can ace his performances and wow many with his skills.
He is also one of the in-demand South Korean stars in entertainment since Korean dramas boomed. Following his series "Record of Youth," Park Bo Gum is reportedly cast to lead the webtoon-based drama "A Business Proposal" way back in 2021.
It is a drama that has made a buzz every week since it premiered in February due to the amazing chemistry of the lead stars. Though it concluded in the first week of April, many backstories started to circulate online. It involves the supposed to be original cast members of the SBS series.

Ahn Hyo Seop
The character of Kang Tae Mu, which was played by Ahn Hyo Seop is said to be offered first to "Encounter" actor Park Bo Gum. In 2019, Kakao Page released a short opening video promoting the webtoon "A Business Proposal." The clip combines a trailer and a behind-the-scenes video of the "Love in the Moonlight" star transforming into the program's male lead.
Why Did Park Bo Gum Decline To Appear in 'A Business Proposal'?
Due to this, the viewers and K-drama enthusiasts who saw the video looked forward to seeing the actor portray the role of the handsome and rich CEO Kang Tae Mu. Unfortunately, Park Bo Gum did not make it. One of the reasons why he did not accept the project was because he was already preparing to enlist in the military.
As a result, the actor passed the throne to rising actor Ahn Hyo Seop who is now gaining popularity after he appeared in "A Business Proposal" along with Kim Sejeong, Kim Min Gyu, and Seol In Ah.
Previously, it was also revealed that "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" actress Jo Bo Ah was the one to portray the role of Shin Ha Ri, but declined the offer and joined the lead cast of tvN's mystery-legal series "Military Prosecutor Doberman" instead.
