Jung Hae In spilled the beans about the highly anticipated season 2 of Netflix's "D.P." During his appearance at the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards on July 19, held in Paradise City, Junggu, Incheon, the actor spoke about updates regarding the second season's production. As Jung Hae In accepted his award for ​​TIRTIR Popularity together with fellow winners Han Hyo Joo, Lee Yong Jin, Kang Daniel, DKZ's Jaechan, and Park Seoham, the South Korean heartthrob gave viewers what to look forward to in "D.P" season 2.

In his acceptance speech, Jung Hae In revealed the progress of filming the action-packed series.

As obtained by a media outlet, the actor shared that he has been busy with the production of "D.P," adding "I worked hard to film this morning too, I have finished about one-third of it."

1st Blue Dragon Series Awards host Jeon Hyun Moo was curious about the upcoming season and asked Jung Hae In to reveal more secrets.

 "As suggested in the title of 'D.P,' the series will continue to follow the different stories of military deserters. I hope you will watch each episode carefully," he said.

In addition, the lead star says that his character, Ahn Jun Ho, will have a class change and become a private soldier.

Interestingly, the 6-part episode series bagged Best Drama at the Blue Dragon Series Awards 2022, beating Kim Nam Gil's "Through the Darkness," fellow Netflix series "Squid Game," Kim Go Eun's "Yumi's Cells," and "Political Fever."

Moreover, "D.P" star Goo Kyo Hwan took home the Best Rookie Actor award.

"D.P" follows the story of Ahn Hun Ho, who joins the military and becomes a member of the military defector arrest team or Deserter Pursuit with Corporal Han Ho Yul, played by Goo Kyoo Hwan.

In the six-part episode series, it featured how the duo tracked down soldiers who have escaped from military service.

Goo Kyo Hwan and Jung Hae In are joined by talented stars, including Son Seok Koo as Captain Im Ji Sup and Kim Sung Kyun as Sergeant Park Bum Goo.

Besides the cast lineup, the K-drama also gained attention because of how it shed light on brutal military practices, exposing its dark side.

Helmed by Han Jun Hee of "Coin Locker Girl" and "Hit-and-Run Squad," the Netflix series gained overwhelming praise and was renewed for season 2.
