‘Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist’ Season 2: Kim Min Jae, Kim Hyang Gi, More Spill Tea for Upcoming Sequel
After the success of the historical K-drama's first season, Kim Min Jae and Kim Hyang Gi hint at what to expect in "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" season 2.
During the finale episode of tvN's based series, the broadcast network delivered surprising news to viewers after announcing that the series will return for a sequel.
In a video marking the cast member's last filming day, the actors spoke about their expectations and thoughts about the upcoming season.
Kim Min Jae and Kim Hyang Gi Talks About 'Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist' Season 2
As obtained by a news portal, Kim Min Jae shared that they will be filming "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" season 2 "in a week."
Moreover, he also spoke about the synergy among the cast members saying that they shared "warm, loud, and fun memories" which will remain deeply to him.
Since they see the whole team as "a big family" Kim Min Jae hopes "that many, many more of those images will appear in Season 2."
The same goes for Kim Hyang Gi, who played the role of Lady Seo Eun Woo.
As they wrapped up the first season the 22-year-old actress mentioned the on-screen chemistry among the cast which she considered the "big strength" of the K-drama.
Moreover, she also expressed her deep felt gratitude to the whole team for delivering a fun-loving environment.
Interestingly, as for the surprising sequel, Kim Hyang Gi hints about the changes in her role.
"I think you'll be able to see a little more about what happens in the palace," she said, adding, "I think I'll be able to show a new image so I'm also looking forward to it!"

Lastly, Kim Sang Kyung also pointed out the chemistry among the team despite the difference in their ages and genders but was able to get along really well.
As seen on Kimm Min Jae's Instagram, the actors really mesh well with each other even off cam, and even do hilarious videos when the cameras are not rolling.
'Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist' Season 2: What We Know So far About the Sequel?
In the webtoon-based "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist," Kim Min Jae plays Yoo Se Yeop, who gets embroiled in a conspiracy and is accused of killing the King. After being forced to exit the palace, he lived a new life as a physician in the small town of Sorak and changed his name to Yoo Se Poong.
There, he meets physician Kye Ji Han, portrayed by Kim Sang Kyung who once worked for the palace's medical team.
With Yoo Se Poong as his assistant, they were able to treat and solve mysterious cases including Lady Seo's case.
Kim Hyang Gi's character was once a patient of Gyesoo clinic but chose to live with them and train as a budding physician.
In the finale episode of the K-drama, tvN confirmed that "Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist" season 2 will premiere in January 2023.
