‘One Dollar Lawyer’ Episode 4-6: Kim Ji Eun Learns About Namgoong Min’s Past

A series of new cases welcome Namgoong Min, Kim Ji Eun and the rest of their law firm in the new episodes of "One Dollar Lawyer." The two hot-and-cold judge advocates also see themselves getting closer to one another.

Cheon Ji Hoon's Confusing Case

Cheon Ji Hoon (Namgoong Min) and Baek Ma Ri (Kim Ji Eun) along with Sa Ma Jang (Park Jin Woo) continue to solve a cold murder case.

Due to their unfamiliarity, the two lawyers keep creating opposing decisions, setting an uncomfortable atmosphere.

In the new murder case, Cheon Ji Hoon realizes that the suspect once helped his landlady paint a mural on her building's wall, which was originally assigned to the chaotic lawyer.

He couldn't believe that the young man could do such a thing that Baek Ma Ri had to fill in his position. It is then revealed that the suspect was set up by the true culprit: his own father.

Because it is a cold case, no one wanted to represent the suspect until Cheon Ji Hoon who was adamant to clear the suspect's name unlike many power-hungry lawyers.

Looking for evidence, Cheon Ji Hoon and Baek Ma Ri pursue the victim's home. Unfortunately, the latter steps on a foreign object in the dark wherein the true culprit behind the murder was hiding behind the tree.

Cheon Ji Hoon Solves A Cold-Blooded Murder Mystery

In episode 5, Cheon Ji Hoon is seen saving Baek Ma Ri from danger. When he ensures her safety, he goes back to look inside, looking for something to help them in the case.

Despite their efforts, the duo couldn't find leads to the real killer. Cheon Ji Hoon then requests for a painting that he deems helpful to the case.

Although weirded out by this, Baek Ma Ri asks her parents to buy the painting. Cheon Ji Hoon hires an expert to look at the painting, which was apparently altered after the murder took place.

No one could have retouched the painting but the artist himself. Later on, the suspect who was claiming his innocence suddenly pleads guilty for killing his own mother.

However, the lawyers don't believe him as the murder possesses layers, and they are sure that there's something more than meets the eye.

Baek Ma Ri Learns About Cheon Ji Hoon's Past

Without wasting time, Cheon Ji Hoon confronts the suspect that he knows has altered the painting.

The suspect then reveals that he had lied on his father's behalf despite knowing what his late father has done. He then pleads guilty to the murder charges without batting an eye.

The following day, the sister of the suspect is revealed to be the real culprit. To save her, her brother took the blame.

Cheon Ji Hoon then convinces him not to make drastic decisions, making the two siblings break down and ask each other for forgiveness.

The suspect's sister then confesses for her crimes and serves her time in prison, turning over a new leaf.

In episode 6, Baek Ma Ri goes out with Na Ye Jin (Gong Min Jeung) for some tea. Before heading out of the office, she sees a photo of Lee Joo Young (Lee Chung Ah) in Cheon Ji Hoon's desk, raising curiosity.

It turns out that the woman in the photo was a colleague who had a relationship with the other lawyer, and had betrayed him despite it all.
