Lee Shin Young To Possibly Join 'Dr Romantic 3' Cast
In the news coverage by OSEN on October 24, Lee Shin Young is courted to star in the upcoming third installment of the popular medical drama "Dr. Romantic."
In addition to the report, the "Rookie Cops" actor received an offer to play the youngest doctor at the Doldam Hospital.
Though other information about Lee Shin Young's potential role is not yet disclosed, fans are already excited to see him again in a new drama.
The confirmed cast of "Dr. Romantic 3" - Han Seok Kyu, Lee Sung Kyung, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Kim Ju Hun - are rumored to attend the drama's first script reading today, October 24.
Once the casting and the production are settled, the team will start filming in earnest.
The production aims to air the drama's Season 3 in the first half of 2023. The script will be penned by Kang Eun Kyung and Yoo In Sik is expected to helm the series.
"Dr. Romantic" tells the story of a triple-board certified surgeon, who was once at the top of his chosen field and used to work at the prestigious Seoul's top medical center, Geonsan University Hospital.
Unfortunately, after a traumatic incident, he disappears and changes his name to Kim Sa Bu, and starts a new life in the same profession.

Meanwhile, Lee Shin Young first captivated the viewers' attention when he starred in the megahit K-drama "CLOY" where he played the character of First Lieutenant Park Kwang Beom.

Many doors opened for the former rising star and landed more acting projects.
In 2020, he headlined the campus series "How To Buy A Friend" where he worked with "Alchemy of Souls" actor Shin Seung Ho, "All of Us Are Dead" actress Cho Yi Hyun, Kim So Hye, and more.
In the same year, he also appeared in tvN's "Awaken" alongside Namgoong Min, Seolhyun, Lee Chung Ah, and Yoon Sun Woo.
He took a drama hiatus for a year and returned with a new comedy-friendship series "Rookie Cops."
Lee Shin Young showed off his stable acting and presence during his small-screen comeback. His on-screen love story with Chun Young Min also received an enthusiastic response from the viewers.

Shin Young is also confirmed to star in the upcoming drama "Boss Dol Mart," (working title) which centers its story on a five member idol group that disbanded and unexpectedly take over Boram Mart.
EXO's Xiumin, MONSTA X's Hyungwon, Choi Jung Woon, Choi Won Myeong, Lee Sae On, and Kim Sha Na are all part of the star-studded cast.
