KBS Halts 'Curtain Call' Press Conference To Give Respect To The Victims of 'Itaewon Tragedy'
One of the biggest broadcasting companies, KBS released a statement on October 31 regarding the cancellation of Ha Ji Won's press con series. According to them, "We inform you that the online production presentation of the newest Monday-Tuesday drama 'Curtain Call,' which was scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. today (31st), has been canceled."
However, the pilot episode of the upcoming series will continue to premiere on October 31. In addition, the representative from KBS added, "We express our deep condolences to the family and victims of the Itaewon Stampede."
The "Curtain Call" press conference is one of the many shows that halted its supposed schedule to mourn and give respect to all the victims of the 'Itaewon Tragedy,' which happened last October 29.
In addition, according to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in Seoul, a total of 303 casualties occurred as of 6 a.m. on the 31st, including 154 deaths, 33 seriously injured, and 116 lightly injured.

Meanwhile, though the press conference will not push through, the drama itself is confirmed to premiere and proceed to release episode 1 today at 9:50 p.m. on KBS.
What We Know About 'Curtain Call'
Starring three of the brilliant stars in entertainment, Go Do Shin, Ha Ji Won, and Kang Ha Neul join forces together to deliver another compelling series this 2022 with "Curtain Call."
The upcoming drama depicts the story of a man who plays the role of a grandson who is determined to fulfill the grandmother's dying wish from the North and a woman who falls in love with that man.
Ha Ji Won is Park Se Yeon, while Kang Ha Neul takes the role of Yoo Jae Hun. "Curtain Call" marks the actress' first-ever lead drama after two years with "Chocolate." Since it is her time for her small-screen comeback, her fans and other K-drama enthusiasts are all looking forward to Ji Won's return after a long drama hiatus.
Meanwhile, this will be Kang Ha Neul's second drama project for this year. In the first half of 2022, he headlined the crime-revenge series "Insider."
