To celebrate its success, Kim Yoo Jung lets the viewers in on a secret! In a commentary uploaded in Netflix Korea's YouTube account, the cast of "20th Century Girl" made an appearance and talked about their thoughts on the film.
When the school trip scene played, Kim Yoo Jung was teased by her co-stars about the "rumors" circulating about her being drunk as the actress' ears turned beet red.
Kim Yoo Jung then bares her soul and lets fans in on a secret, saying, "I actually drank during that scene that's why my ears were so red at the time."
The director, Bang Woo Ri, and co-star Noh Yoon Seo praised Kim Yoo Jung for her performance. In most K-Drama works, being "drunk" never really required drinking actual alcohol.

But because of Kim Yoo Jung's passion and dedication, she truly played her part. In addition to that, the actress' on screen love interest Byun Woo Seok admitted that his heart pounded really fast during their romantic scene.
Since Kim Yoo Jung was a bit drunk, the close up scene of the two looked more dream-like which is the result that the director wanted to go for. She stated, "The romantic tension and proximity made their secret tryst more interesting."
Meanwhile, "20th Century" earned high praises during its premiere and up until this writing, "20th Century Girl" is still the talk of the town!
Bang Woo Ri Shows Affection For Kim Yoo Jung
When the director mapped out the storyline, she didn't think of anyone else as she only had one actress in mind: Kim Yoo Jung.
Bang Woo Ri felt like the tons of burden on her shoulders disappeared when Kim Yoo Jung confirmed her appearance.
Kim Yoo Jung's down-to-earth personality and versatility, apart from her outstanding acting skills, were the reason why she was Bang Woo Ri's "non-negotiable" pick.
