Kang Dong Won And Song Hye Gyo Couple Up In "My Palpitating Heart"

Actor Kang Dong Won has been confirmed to play the main lead alongside actress Song Hye Gyo for the movie "My Palpitating Heart".

On December 2, Zip Cinema announced that Kang Dong Won and Song Hye Gyo will be portraying the roles of young married couple who had their child at the ripe age of 17. The melodramatic twist in the story is that their child Ahreum is suffering from Progeria, a genetic condition that causes rapid aging, and the story will tackle how this couple will deal with losing their 17 year old child to an illness like this.

This will be Kang Dong Won and Song Hye Gyo's second time acting together after working with each other in the movie "Love For Sale", the closing film at the Busan International Film Festival.

The movie is based on the best-selling novel by Kim Ae Ran which sold over 140,000 copies during the first three months of its release. It will be directed by Lee Jae Young, who is popular for his movies "Scandal" and "An Affair", and produced by ZIPCINEMA.

"My Palpitating Heart" is set to begin its filming in January 2014.
