Park Ji Hoon is set to make his much anticipated comeback this fall as a meek yet powerful high school student in "Weak Hero Class 1"!

Ahead of his drama's premiere, the young actor dishes out his honest thoughts on the drama, his role and more.

Park Ji Hoon On Portraying Model Student in 'Weak Hero Class 1'

A year since his last appearance in the small screen, Park Ji Hoon comes back with an intriguing coming of age drama, "Weak Hero Class 1"!

In the series, Park Ji Hoon transforms into Yeon Si Eun, an intelligent yet feeble boy who slowly becomes the hero of the school as he fights school bullies and stops school violence.

"Weak Hero Class 1" marks Park Ji Hoon's first ever action drama, challenging himself with the new genre. Prior to his return, he talked about his character and his experience during the few months of filming.

Park Ji Hoon confessed that he fell in love with the character-and how he transformed into a hero in the long run-during the script reading.

"He's firm and focused despite being weak," The actor said. "Even if he didn't know how to fight physically, he has strategies and methods on how to take down injustice and violence. That's why I think Yeon Si Eun is cool."

In the second teaser of the drama, Yeon Si Eun is seen using pots and pans to fight bullies in a battle. He also utilizes his facial expressions in intimidating the scary bad guys, maintaining a stoic face all the time.

Since "Weak Hero Class 1" is Park Ji Hoon's first ever action work, the actor enrolled himself in an action school to perfectly portray his new acting role!

He prepared for the drama with a lot of determination and learned martial arts with the help of experts prior to filming. Park Ji Hoon said, "I wanted to appear as natural as possible when doing action scenes so I dedicated my time to learning stunts."

Park Ji Hoon admitted that he almost gave up due to the vigorous stunts but because of his passion, he was motivated to push forward for the viewers and fans. With that said, fans' excitement and curiosity about Park Ji Hoon's gravity-defying action skills are amplified.

Park Ji Hoon's dynamic and synergy with other actors like Choi Hyun Wook, Shin Seung Ho, Hong Kyung and Lee Yeon are also one of the factors to look forward to in the drama.
