Sowon Signs Contract With OUI Entertainment
After the tear jerking disbandment of top girl group GFRIEND, Sowon has decided to finally widen her career and make her debut as an actress!
In 2021, Sowon signed with IOK Company as an actress and officially changed her stage name to her real name Kim So Jung. However, she parted ways with the agency in September and has found a new home.
Earlier this November, OUI Entertainment announced that Kim So Jung has joined the family as an actress, and will use the screen name Kim Sowon moving forward.
With this fresh start, she is expected to show her charming visuals and cider-like energy, and showcase her talents in acting through a wide variety of genres.

Wi Myung Hee, president of OYI Entertainment, expressed his delight with the singer-turned-actress' decision. He commented, "I plan to support Kim Sowon in all her endeavors to further unleash her capabilities."
The company asks for a lot of support and interest in the forthcoming activities of Kim Sowon who will dominate the international entertainment scene in the near future.
On the other hand, OUI Entertainment hosts the world class groups WEi and CraXilver, "The Red Sleeve" actress Kim Yi On and more.
Kim Sowon's Previous Dramas To Check Out
Kim Sowon ventured into acting as soon as she bid goodbye to GFRIEND. Earlier this 2022, the idol-turned-actress headlined the romance cohabitation film "My Chilling Roommate" with Jung Chan Woo.
The film depicts the attraction between a ghost who lost her memories and a mortal who hears and sees him.
"My Chilling Roommate" received positive reviews during its premiere, signifying Kim Sowon's beautiful start in the industry.
At the moment, she is currently gearing up for her much awaited television debut with the romance series "4:44 (4 minutes, 44 seconds)" which deals with the daily lives of regular people living in the same apartment.
