The young actor headlined the new coming of age series "Weak Hero Class 1" along with fellow rising stars Park Ji Hoon. Recently, he left an impactful performance in his earlier works "Racket Boys" and "Twenty Five, Twenty One."

In "Weak Hero Class 1," Choi Hyun Wook played Ahn Su Ho, a loyal and reliable schoolmate who stood by Park Ji Hoon's side to stop the bullies and injustices inside their school.

Following its blockbuster hit, Choi Hyun Wook opened up about his thoughts on "Weak Hero Class 1" and let fans in on his difficulties during filming.

According to Choi Hyun Wook, he cried hard during filming because of the sensitive yet beautiful themes of the drama. He said, "I didn't expect the people to love it a lot but I'm really thankful."

Admittedly, Choi Hyun Wook was lacking in some aspects but because of his hard work and preparation, he was able to give justice to Ahn Su Ho's character.

The actor even learned sparring prior to filming as "Weak Hero Class 1" marks his first ever action drama. Choi Hyun Wook stated, "I learned a lot while playing Su Ho. It's an honor to be a part of the show."

Choi Hyun Wook is also grateful to have met great friends of the same age through the drama, boasting amazing chemistry.

"Park Ji Hoon and Hong Kyung helped me a lot," he said. "They had a great effect on me and I'll forever be grateful."
