Jeon Mi Do wowed the crowd after delivering a remarkable and heartfelt acceptance speech at the 2022 Popular Culture and Arts Award.

The "Hospital Playlist" actress is among the celebrities who were recognized by the organization for their contribution to the development of popular culture.

Hosted by Park Sun Ho and former announcer Jang Ye Won, the ceremony was held on November 24 at the National Theater of Korea.

Aiki along with her dance crew Hook as well as Paul Kim, and Oh My Girl's YooA entertained the audience with their show-stopping performance.

Interestingly, Jeon Mi Do is one of the South Korean stars who accepted the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's Commendation at the 2022 Popular Culture and Arts Award.

Along with voice actor Kim Young Sun, TXT, aespa, musical actress Kim Sun Young, producer Han Seung Won, comedian Hong Hyun Hee, choreographer Aiki and singer Paul Kim, Jeon Mi Do grace the stage to accept her award.

Apart from her bright smile that lit up the stage, the actress dedicated her award to her mother.

During her speech, she shared that her mother just underwent surgery, adding "I think she will recover quickly knowing that I won an award."

Moreover, as obtained by a media outlet, the actress also took the opportunity to express her deep gratitude to her mom and said "Thank you for allowing me to be a filial daughter unexpectedly. I'm grateful."

Aside from the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's Commendation, the organization has given late actress Kang Soo Yeon and Director Park Chan Wook the Eungwan Order of Cultural Merit, also considered the ceremony's greatest honors.

In addition, veteran actor Song Kang Ho, cartoon artist Heo Young Man and screenwriter Park Jin Sook accepted the Bogwan Order of Cultural Merit (3rd Class.)

Lastly, Presidential Commendation was received by voice actress Hong Seung Ok, "Escape from Mogadishu" star Kim Yoon Seok, film score composer Byun Sung Yong, singer Kim Hyun Chul, screenwriter Park Hae Young and the late music director Bang Joon Seok while Prime Minister's Commendation was given to "Reborn Rich" star Lee Sung Min, singer Jang Pil Soon, host-comedian Park Myung Soo, Jaurim, director Yeon Sang Ho, producer Kim Ji Yeon, cartoon artist Kim Bo Tong and, singer Zico.

Jeon Mi Do on 'Hospital Playlist 3'

The 40-year-old actress' breakthrough performance was the medical K-drama "Hospital Playlist."

Although she is a household name in theater, Jeon Mi Do skyrocket her fame after portraying top neurosurgeon Chae Song Hwa.

While viewers are still waiting for the official announcement whether "Hospital Playlist 3" will return, she expressed the same thought and revealed that she along with her co-stars "we're always thinking about it positively."

As of this writing, the tvN K-drama is yet to be confirmed if they will renew the series for another season.
