"Under the Queen's Umbrella" has already concluded, and one of its stars Chan Hee shared his experience portraying his first villain role.

tvN's weekend drama "Under the Queen's Umbrella" starring Kim Hye Soo finished its run with impressive ratings. Apart from the consistently high viewership records, the series was also lauded for its story and talented cast members. 

SF9 member and actor Chan Hee, who played the character of Prince Uiseong expressed his thoughts about the series and what it was like to be an antagonist. 

To recall, during the beginning of the historical drama, he did bad things without hesitation to gain the Crown Prince title, which he thought was his. But as the drama progressed, he raised tension as an upgraded villain who kills people. 

Chan Hee's role as Prince Uiseong drew attention as a new villain that has not yet existed in Korean historical dramas. In response, the idol-actor has portrayed various sides of Prince Uiseong, from the pathetic and rude aspect to his tragic end by controlling the tension of his voice and tone.

He was also able to deliver his lines well. Throughout the series, Chan Hee earned different nicknames from the angered viewers of the drama such as "Low-level Troll" and "Joseon's Malfoy."

But for Kang Chan Hee, it was a great opportunity for him to become part of such a great drama. According to him, "It was an honor to be able to work with the 'Under the Queen's Umbrella' team. Prince Uiseong was a new challenge for me, and this role was very meaningful because I learned new things while acting."

The "True Beauty" actor added that he was grateful to the senior actors, directors, and staff who helped him while filming the drama. Before his interview concluded, Chan Hee mentioned that he will greet the viewers in the future with a more mature appearance.

And even though he is still lacking in his acting, he sincerely appreciates the viewers for watching "Under the Queen's Umbrella" until the last episode.
