Kicking off the new year with these upcoming K-drama pairings is something to look forward to in 2023. From Lee Junho & YoonA for "King the Land" to Ahn Hyo Seop & Jeon Yeo Bin for "Into Your Time," they are some of the much-awaited tandems to give you butterflies next year. 

1. Lee Junho & YoonA

Currently filming their first drama team-up, Lee Junho and YoonA will headline the romantic-comedy series "King the Land." 

It follows the story of Goo Won, an heir of The King Group, a luxury hotel conglomerate, who cannot stand fake smiles. He meets Cheon Sa Rang, who is the complete opposite of him and is equipped with a bright smile even when she does not want to due to her profession's nature.

The drama will kick off in the first half of 2023.

2. Lee Joon Gi & Shin Se Kyung

Shin Se Kyung and Lee Joong Gi are the new stars to lead "Arthdal Chronicles" Season 2. Meanwhile, Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Vin will reprise their roles.

‘Arthdal Chronicles 2’ Cast Attends Script Reading, To Begin Filming in THIS Month

The second installment will depict the story of what happened in Arth more than eight years later. Arthdal succeeded in suppressing the rebellions of the tribes slaughtered by Targon in Season 1. In Season 2, Ta Gon's Kingdom of Arthdal and Eun Seom's Union are set to experience an inevitable war.

3. Park Seo Joon & Han So Hee

Two of the hottest stars today, Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee are collaborating for the first time in the historical series "Gyeongseong Creature." The thriller drama tells the story of two adults who encounter a creature and fight for survival. It is set in the dark times of spring in 1945.

Though the drama is scheduled to air in the first quarter of 2023-the drama team confirmed that season 2 is coming. The production is already preparing to film the sequel soon. It will be released on Netflix.

4. Lee Min Ho & Gong Hyo Jin

Making their way to space are these multi-talented stars Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin. They will star in the new rom-com series about an astronaut and a tourist who meet and develop feelings for each other at a space station.

5. Kim So Hyun & Hwang Min Hyun

After "Alchemy of Souls," Hwang Min Hyu is gearing up for his next drama "Useless Lies" with Kim So Hyun. They will lead the mystery-romance series, which foretells the story of a woman who can hear lies and a murder suspect whom no one believes is innocent. They will play the characters of Kim Do Ha and Mok Sol Hee, respectively.

6. Kim Soo Hyun & Kim Ji Won

Making their return to the small screen this 2023 are Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won. The two confirmed their participation in Park Ji Eun's next drama "Queen of Tears." They will play as a married couple who are struggling to save their marriage due to the pressure they receive from their families and society.

7. Ahn Hyo Seop & Jeon Yeo Bin

The Korean adaptation of the smashing hit Taiwanese series "Someday or One Day," also known as "Into Your Time" stars Ahn Hyo Seop, Jeon Yeo Bin, and Kang Hoon. It tells the story of Jun Hee, who is dealing with the loss of her boyfriend after a year has passed. One day, she finds herself traveling back in time to 1998, and meets a young man, who looks like her boyfriend. 

This drama will also premiere in the first half of 2023 on the famous online streaming giant, Netflix.
