Looks like Cha Eun Woo scored another title besides being dubbed as "Face Genius" and being an all-rounder Hallyu star. It appears that the singer-actor will add "most followed Korean actor" to his list of achievements after beating Lee Min Ho's reign.

The South Korean heartthrob is quite active on Instagram and often updates fans through his social media.

He posts sneak peeks of his upcoming and ongoing projects, letting his millions of followers see a glimpse of his day-to-day activities.

Interestingly, his Instagram followers jumped from 30.9 million during the first quarter of the year to Cha Eun Woo's Instagram rakes 31.4 million followers.

Cha Eun Woo Ends Lee Min Ho's Reign on Instagram

In a report, Livecounts, a mobile app that allows you to view real-time statistics showed that the Astro member surpasses the current South Korean actor with the most number of followers and that is none other than Lee Min Ho.

Based on the statistics shown, Cha Eun Woo is ahead by around 65 thousand followers on Instagram to "The King: Eternal Monarch" star who currently has around 31,409, 247 followers.

This leaves Cha Eun Woo's Instagram at 31,473, 872 followers ranking him in the top spot of most followed South Korean actors.

Interestingly, his latest post as of this writing is a series of shots during his trip to Egypt for the Dior show where he serves as one of the global ambassadors along with BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Bae Suzy, EXO's Sehun, Olympic champion Yuna Kim, and Nam Joo Hyuk.

At one point, the idol-actor became a trending topic due to his undeniable visuals at the Dior Men Fall Winter show.

Cha Eun Woo's New Drama

Besides being the most followed South Korean actor on Instagram, Cha Eun Woo is also returning to the small screen with a new series.

The 25-year-old star is headlining a webtoon-based series "Island" alongside Kim Nam Gil and Lee Da Hee.

Helmed by Bae Jong of "Fabricated City" and "My Dream Class," the upcoming K-drama is a thriller mystery series that depicts the story of a woman who was sent to Jeju Island.

Won Mi Ho, played by Lee Da Hee, is a chaebol's daughter who runs a big company called Daehan Group.

Due to her arrogant and selfish behavior, she was sent to Jeju island where she is assigned to work as a high school ethics teacher.

Little did she know that the island was full of secrets and met Kang Chan Hyuk played by Cha Eun Woo and Van, portrayed by Kim Nam Gil.

Cha Eun Woo's new drama "Island" is scheduled to be released on December 30 via Amazon Prime.

The upcoming series will have a total of six episodes airing every Friday.
