'Reborn Rich' Continue To Gain Popularity and Breaks New Rating Records
Since the beginning of its premiere week, JTBC's fantasy-legal series "Reborn Rich" is gaining massive popularity. It impressed many with its storyline and star-studded cast.
The drama has consistently recorded high viewership ratings every week, but recently, viewers expressed their regret about the sudden kiss scene between Song Joong Ki and Shin Hyun Bin.
To start with, Nielsen Korea announced on December 11 that "Reborn Rich" episode 10, which aired on December 10, garnered a viewership rating of 18.3 percent nationwide. While 20.5 percent ratings in Seoul mark the series as the most watched drama aired on that day on all channels.
However, amid the positive feedback from viewers, "Reborn Rich" episodes 9 and 10 depicted Jin Do Joon (Song Joong Ki) repeatedly turning the table.

In particular, with the help of prosecutor Seo Min Young (Shin Hyun Bin), Jin Do Joon succeeded in taking over Sunyang Department Store from Jin Hwa Young. Amazed by his skill, Do Joon's grandfather Jin Yang Chul (Lee Sung Min), the SG's Chairman, mentioned that he would give the company to him.
Viewers' Reaction Towards Song Joong Ki & Shin Hyun Bin's Love Line Turned Sour
But as the episode comes to an end, Jin Do Joon and Jin Yang Chul's entangled in an unexpected accident. Viewers get immersed in the drama's story with its fast development and the actors' amazing performance.
However, in episode 10, Jin Do Joon was seen running holding Seo Min Young's hand. Do Joon showed Min Young the news about Seo Taiji's comeback on an electronic display board.
Seo Min Young, on the other hand, couldn't contain her happiness and gave Do Joon a hug and suddenly kissed him. Upon seeing the reaction of Min Young, Do Joon kissed her back, confronting each other's feelings.
Some viewers who watched the scene commented: "Why did they suddenly add a love line to the heavy atmosphere of the series?"
"Whenever the love line appeared, the series became boring."
One commenter said that it would be better if the production would exclude the love line between Jin Do Joon and Seo Min Young.
It has been said that in the original novel, the love story does not have that much appearance. But in the drama adaptation, it increased significantly which disappointed viewers.
