New year means a new set of upcoming K-dramas and movies on Netflix. A slew of highly-anticipated show are lined up for viewers, which also includes the comeback of Hallyu stars and top stars! From Park Seo Joon, Son Seok Koo, Kim Woo Bin, and more, fans are eager to see their favorite actor gracing our screen.

Here are upcoming K-dramas and movies on Netflix in 2023.

'Gyeongseong Creature'

One of the highly-anticipated team-up is Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee for the upcoming K-drama "Gyeongseong Creature."

Helmed by Jung Dong Yoon of "It's Okay Not to Be Okay" and "Hot Stove League," the action thriller sci-fi series depicts the journey of humans fighting monstrous creatures who were powered by greed.

Set in the spring of 1945 in Gyeongseong City, Park Seo Joon plays one of the town's wealthiest men, Jang Tae Sang. Amid the injustice surrounding humanity, the one thing that he is most concerned about is himself.

Meanwhile, Han So Hee takes on the role of the mysterious character of Yun Chae Ok.

Joining the duo is the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" actress Claudia Kim, along with Wi Ha Joon of "Squid Game," as well as veteran actress Kim Hae Sook of "Under the Queen's Umbrella."

"Gyeongseong Creature" is a 10-episode K-drama to premiere in 2023 on Netflix.

'The Black Knight'

After his K-drama comeback "Our Blues" and big screen return "Alien," Kim Woo Bin is set to star in another project, "Black Knight."

The upcoming K-drama is based on the webcomic "Taekbaegisa" by Lee Yoon Kyun, which follows the story of human existence in a chaotic environment.

Kim Woo Bin plays the legendary knight called 5-8, who is known for his great skills in physical combat. He unexpectedly meets Defense Intelligence Command officer Seol Ah, played by Esom.

"Black Knight" also features Song Seung Heon and rookie actor Kang Yoo Seok as lead stars.

As of this writing, officials are yet to release an official date regarding the premiere. It will air via Netflix in 2023 with a total of six episodes for the season.

'Murder DIEary'

Based on the Naver webtoon, "Murder DIEary" stars Son Seok Koo, Choi Woo Shik, and Lee Hee Hoon.

The upcoming drama will center around an ordinary man, who accidentally killed a serial killer. He then became a subject of a crime with a detective chasing after him.

Directed by Lee Chang Hee of "Strangers from Hell" and "The Vanished," "Murder DIEary" is an 8-episode series, airing in 2023 exclusively on Netflix.

'Believer 2'

After its successful premiere back in 2018, "Believer" is set to air its sequel via Netflix in 2023.

Reprising his role as detective Jo Won Ho, versatile star Jo Jin Woong, will be working with familiar faces and new cast members.

"Believer 2" cast includes Cha Seung Won, Lee Joo Young, Kim Dong Young, Oh Seung Hoon, and more.
