According to Koreaboo, earlier this month, a man identified as Jisoo's brother, Kim Jung Hun, was arrested following accusations from a female streamer involving sexual assault and blackmail. Additional allegations have since been made by Kim's alleged wife.

In response to the mounting controversy, Jisoo's agency clarified that she has no business ties with Kim Jung Hun and has severed contact with him. Still, the backlash has continued to affect the idol's public engagements.

Typically, when idols depart for overseas schedules, media outlets cover their airport departures with livestreams and brief interviews. However, Dimaco, a fashion marketing company assisting with Jisoo's Paris schedule, announced the cancellation of her airport press coverage.

Dimaco stated, "Due to unavoidable internal circumstances, the scheduled press coverage of Jisoo's airport departure for today has been canceled."

Fans quickly responded to the news on social media, expressing a mix of sadness and understanding.

One fan commented, "I know it's for the best but this is so sad it came to this smh, this was supposed to be happiest departure for her."

Another shared a more hopeful perspective, saying, "Aww... that's a bit sad, but I guess it's for the best.. away from the media who might have swarmed her with questions. At least she didn't cancel her schedule. Can't wait to see you at Canneseries, Jisoo!"

Others emphasized the importance of safety and practical concerns. A fan wrote, "It's not just for her safety but there would have been a huge number of reporters there tomorrow and that could have disrupted other people at the airport. I think this is the right decision."

Despite the cancellation of her public appearance at the airport, Jisoo's scheduled activities in Paris are expected to proceed as planned.

Recently, The Korea Herald reported that Jisoo's agency, Blissoo, has denied any connection between the artist and her brother, who is under police investigation for alleged sexual assault and domestic violence.

The agency emphasized that Jisoo has no involvement in the case or her brother's personal affairs, calling online claims false and speculative, and warned of legal action against the spread of misinformation linking her to the allegations.
