Song Kang Update 2023: Actor Marks His Comeback With THESE Projects
South Korean heartthrob Song Kang is ready to make his much-awaited comeback in the entertainment industry as he is booked for new projects set for release this 2023.
Song Kang is also mentioned in some news that he might begin his military service this year. However, his agency has not released any official statement yet on whether he is already confirmed for enlistment.
While waiting for his short departure from showbiz, let's take a look at the works Song Kang prepared for his fans.
It's been a while since the heartthrob made his on-screen appearance after he concluded his romance drama "Forecasting Love and Weather" with Park Min Young in April 2022. But even though he took a break in front of the camera, Song Kang took his time working on his future projects.
Song Kang To Reprise His Role in Netflix's 'Sweet Home 2 & 3'
Apart from the romantic genre, the actor expanded his experience by challenging himself in trying out thriller, mystery, and melodrama-themed series. In 2020, he made a surprise transformation in the Netflix drama "Sweet Home," where he showcased a new side of his improved acting.
Thanks to the positive feedback from the audience, the said series is confirmed for sequels. In 2022, it was announced that "Sweet Home Seasons 2 and 3" are already in production, and the original cast will reprise their roles.
This marks Song Kang's return to Netflix. He is set to reunite with Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Go Min Si, and Park Gyu Young. Unfortunately, Lee Do Hyun will no longer appear in the upcoming seasons.

However, talented stars Oh Jung Se, Yoo Oh Sung, Kim Moo Yeol, and Jinyoung are joining the cast. Though the drama's air dates are still in discussions, viewers are already looking forward to the suspenseful story and the ensemble's performance as the mystery of the monsters continues.
Song Kang To Potentially Join Kim Yoo Jung in 'My Demon'
The "Nevertheless" actor might be returning to the romance genre as he has been reported to star in the fantasy series "My Demon." At the beginning of 2023, Song Kang created a buzz as media outlets announced that he is being courted to join Kim Yoo Jung to headline the said drama.
His agency, Namoo Actors was quick to address the news and confirmed that "My Demon" is one of the projects that has been offered to Song Kang. There are no other details yet on whether the heartthrob accepts the work.
"My Demon," tells the story of a chaebol heiress, who is everyone's enemy, and the demon, who loses his powers. One day they end up living together.
In addition, with his growing popularity, Song Kang will have his offline fan meet in Asia. He already started in Seoul, where he finally had the chance to serenade and play games with his avid supporters.
