Yoo Teo is the newest Korean actor viewers have been gushing about after he headlined Netflix's "Love to Hate You." In his recent interview, the celebrity shared the inspiration behind his character in the famous romantic-comedy series.

Yoo Teo Discusses Experience Working With Kim Ok Vin, Kim Ji Hoon

Netflix's newest rom-com K-drama "Love to Hate You" is currently taking the world by storm for its storyline and cast's synergy. Simultaneously, its lead actors Kim Ok Vin and Yoo Teo are catapulting bigger fame for their performance in the drama.

In his recent interview, Yoo Teo played the character of Nam Kang Ho, an A-list actor who distrusts women.

According to him, he had to shoot kissing scenes with different characters for the drama. He added that it was not that difficult to do. He shared that after finishing the shoot, Yoo Teo realized that he kissed Lee Joo Bin, Kim Ok Vin, and even Kim Ji Hoon, and he just laughed at himself.

The "Pawn" actor also revealed that he and Kim Ji Hoon just wanted to make their kiss scenes hilarious, and neither of them had a problem doing it. Even the director liked it and made them refilm it multiple times. 

Yoo Teo then expressed how grateful he was to work with veteran actress Kim Ok Vin. He thanked her for trusting him from the beginning until the end.

When it comes to his character, Yoo Teo shared how he immersed himself in Nam Kang Ho so he can fully bring him to life. According to the celebrity, he had to make sure that how his role hates and doubts women because of his trauma doesn't feel bizarre.

Since it's a rom-com series, he had to look adorable. Yoo Teo further explained that the writer advised him to study Hyun Bin with his role in "Secret Garden."

"I knew the drama, so I got what the writer wanted. I watched it again, and it was good," he said.

He confessed that he always remembers the scene where Hyun Bin was looking down from his department store. Yoo Teo continued, "It has that unique Hyun Bin vibe, so I wanted to take a little bit of that." 

Yoo Teo further shared, "It is a genre that I have never tried before, and I was born and raised in Europe, so I need a role model to study the typicality that works here in Korea. I will start there and try to find my own thing."
