On February 27, almost a month before his wedding to actress and longtime girlfriend Lee Da In, Lee Seung Gi collaborated with GQ Korea.
In his interview for the editorial of the fashion magazine, the singer-actor mentioned the ups and downs in his career and personal life. He shared how happy he was to receive never-ending support from his fans and other people.
To begin with, after he received the money from his former agency, Hook Entertainment he generously donated 5 billion KRW (3.8 million USD) to different organizations namely, Seoul National University Children's Hospital, Korean Red Cross, Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) and more.

After his good deed went viral, Lee Seung Gi went abroad for his personal schedule. However, people have noticed that instead of being in business class, he was in an economy class flight, which surprised many.
The actor mentioned that before when there were no available seats in business class anymore, he would usually take the economy class. But this time, since he's hot in the public's eyes, Lee Seung Gi received reactions from the crowd seeing him fly in economy.
Instead of hate comments, Lee Seung Gi was enthusiastic about how people showed their support of seeing him in economy class. According to him, "I received a lot of comfort after seeing support from people who had no interest in me, and even people who didn't like me. It gave me strength that almost made me cry. Because I felt like I was not fighting alone, that there are others who are fighting with me too."
Lee Seung Gi Feels Fulfilled After Donating Huge Amount To Various Organizations
Regarding his big donation, the "Vagabond" star said that all the donations are good. The money was precious to him because it was from his blood, sweat, and tears. It was the fruit of his hard work for almost a decade of being a singer and actor, and knowing that it will help a lot of people, Lee Seung Gi feels fulfilled already.
"The sense of fulfillment I felt after donating was enormous. To the point that I was even surprised at myself."
