'Sumbisori' Marks Lee Sun Bin's Big Screen Comeback

Based on a report by a media outlet on March 13, Lee Sun Bin is confirmed to star in the new film "Sumbisori." 

According to the released synopsis "Sumbisori" refers to the sound that a 'haenyeo' makes after resurfacing from the water. She is a female diver that harvests sea life for a living. The movie features the story of three generations of women, who have lived their lives as 'haenyeos' 

Lee Sun Bin takes the role of Goo Hae Jin, she will show the struggles of youth while powerfully expressing her relationship with her grandmother and mother. In addition, the whole project is said to be filmed on Jeju Island, capturing the picturesque scenery of the island as well as the lives of haenyeos. 

Lee Sun Bin's Famous Works Since Her Debut

"Sumbisori" marks Sun Bin's first movie this 2023. Her last film was in 2022 with "Toxic." The actress made a strong and comical impression on viewers with her latest K-drama, "Work Later, Drink Now." Now that she'll work on a new exciting film genre, fans and viewers are already looking forward to her performance and other stars whom she will work with.

Lee Sun Bin entered the world of showbiz in 2016. She had her first screen project through the series "Madame Antoine: The Love Therapist." It was indeed a great year for her as new doors opened for Lee Sun Bin, and starred in three more dramas namely, "Another Miss Oh," "Squad 38," and "Entourage."

Lee Sun Bin also made her special participation in the 2020 record-breaking drama "Uncanny Counter." She impressed viewers with her commendable acting in the comedy-friendship series "Work Later, Drink Now" both in seasons 1 and 2. 

The actress previously appeared in episode 5 of the ongoing tvN's series "The Heavenly Idol."
