Rising star Lee Shin Young is flattered upon hearing news comparing him to "It's Okay Not To Be Okay" star Kim Soo Hyun. 

The public sees the resemblance of the "Dr. Romantic 3" star to the South Korean heathrob, especially with their soft facial features and boy next door look. 

Ahead of the release of Lee Shin Young's new drama, the actor reveals his honest thoughts about being called the younger version of Kim Soo Hyun. 

Lee Shin Young Responds After Being Deemed the Young Kim Soo Hyun

In an interview obtained by a local news portal, Lee Shin Young was asked about his thoughts when people commented on his resemblance to the South Korean top star. 

Lee Shin Young humbly responded that he didn't think that looked like Kim Soo Hyun but expressed gratitude for saying that he "looks like a very handsome actor" and that their visuals were similar. 

Interestingly, this is not the first time that the 25-year-old actor has responded to claims about his lookalike.

During his interview for his big screen debut, "Rebound," the rising star says that he has heard about being compared to Kim Soo Hyun.

"After hearing from people around me that I look like Kim Soo Hyun, I can't believe I look like such a handsome actor, who is also excellent in acting," he said, adding that he is very "grateful" for the compliments. 

As mentioned, both actors have angelic features, which makes fans swoon over their visuals. 

Kim Soo Hyun rose to popularity after starring in the youth-oriented K-drama "Dream High" with IU, Bae Suzy, and more, followed by another lead role in "Moon Embracing the Sun" and the rom-com with Jun Ji Hyun for "My Love from the Star."

Meanwhile, Lee Shin Young captivates viewers as Hyun Bin's teammate in "Crash Landing on You" and as the freshman and judo team member Kim Tak in "Rookie Cops."

Interestingly, he will join the beloved cast of "Dr. Romantic 3" as the newbie doctor of Doldam Hospital named Jang Dong Hwa.

As the interview continued, Lee Shin Young spoke about his plans in showbiz.

Besides the back to back projects, he expressed his desire to work with top star Son Seok Koo. 

He says that the "My Liberation Notes" star is his "role model."

Lee Shin Young went on and explained that Son Seok Koo has a "unique charm" hence why he chose him as the senior that he want to work with.

When asked about how he sees himself, the rising star pointe out that he wants to be an actor with "good influence" when he turn s50 or 60.

He also expressed his admiration for veteran stars who could still deliver stellar performances despite their age. 

"I respect and admire how the seniors in the field are doing so well," he said.
