Ahn Hyo Seop Shares Losing 7Kg for Particular Scene in ‘Dr Romantic 3’
Ahn Hyo Seop talks about his preparation for the much awaited medical K-drama of 2023, "Dr. Romantic 3."
The South Korean heathrob continues to headline the third sequel together with Lee Sung Kyung and Han Suk Kyu.
With fans looking forward to see the Doldam Hospital family, Ahn Hyo Seop shared his experience filming the series.
It will be the second time that Ahn Hyo Seop will play the role of Seo Woo Jin, a skilled surgeon who joined Doldam Hospital as a 2nd-year fellow.
At the shabby countryside hospital, he meets the legendary doctor Kim Sa Bu (Han Suk Kyu), who became his mentor.
Reprising his role, Ahn Hyo Seop revealed that he lost a lot of weight for a scene in "Dr. Romantic 3."

During his appearance on SBS's Power FM's "Power Time," the South Korean hearthrob guested the show alongside Lee Sung Kyung.
One of the program's listeners asked Ahn Hyo Seop if he worked out or did a lot of exercise in preparation for the sequel.
However, the actor revealed that instead of bulking up, he shed weight.
"I tend to lose a lot of weight when I film," he said, as obtained by a media outlet, adding that since the start of the shoot, he has lost another 7kg."
Meanwhile, Lee Sung Kyung responded, "Stop losing weight," noting that she feels upset every time the actor sheds even a gram of weight.
On the other hand, he teased fans and said that he "worked hard for a specific scene" in "Dr. Romantic 3," raising more anticipation for the drama's premiere.

The long wait is over for fans as the beloved surgeon, Kim Sa Bu, returns with thrilling and heartwarming episodes every week.
After three years, viewers will get to see the reunion between the original staff at Doldam Hospital and the new faces who will be joining the family.

As mentioned, Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Lee Sung Kyung will be reprising their roles.
The same goes for Kim Min Jae, Jin Kyung, Kim Joo Heon, So Ju Yeon, Shin Dong Wook, Byun Woo Min, and more.
Interestingly, season 3 also welcomes new characters, with Lee Shin Young and Lee Hong Nae joining as the maknae doctors while Lee Kyung Young portrays the new villain.
The "Dr. Romantic 3" release date is set for April 28 and will be the newest Friday and Saturday K-dramas, airing via SBS and Disney+.
As for the plot, "Dr. Romantic 3" will also focus on the trauma center established by Kim Sa Bu. It means that viewers will see more drama between the staff and their patients.
