However, one incident caught the actor off-guard after his senior co-star unintentionally revealed a secret!

At the media briefing, award-winning star Han Suk Kyu was lauded by Kim Min Jae after he was asked what it was like working with him for three seasons. The 26-year-old star said he considers his senior as a great "mentor."

Han Suk Kyu then expressed his gratitude and even joked that he felt like he was about to cry after hearing good words from the actor.

However, what struck everyone the most was his revelation about Kim Min Jae's enlistment. Han Suk Kyu, unaware that the actor hasn't officially revealed his plans in public, accidentally mentioned the month of his enlistment.

"When I met Kim Min Jae during Season 1, there was a point where I told him, 'Hurry up, and go to the military,' but he is going to the military in July," he said.

While Kim Min Jae was surprised, his senior co-star asked, "Was that something that shouldn't have been said?"

Netizens found the situation adorable, especially with the actor's reaction after hearing Han Suk Kyu's revelation.

Following the surprising revelation about Kim Min Jae's enlistment, his agency, YAMYAM Entertainment, responded and mentioned that the application for his military schedule has been delayed due to his ongoing projects. However, the exact date of his enlistment is yet to be confirmed.

"It's true he's considering joining the military in the second half of this year, but it's not been confirmed as July," the agency said, as obtained by a media outlet.

Will 'Dr. Romantic 3' be Kim Min Jae's Last Project Before Enlistment?

During the "Dr. Romantic 3" press conference, Kim Min Jae mentioned that the medical K-drama will be his "last project" in his 20s.

"Of course, it is not definitive," he said, adding, "I think this project that I began my 20s with will also be the last project [of my 20s]."

As for the surprising revelation, the actor shared that he was "thinking a lot about how to convey" the news to the public, but at some point, he felt relieved that Han Suk Kyu did it for him.

Kim Min Jae has been with the medical K-drama since season 1, playing the role of charming E.R. nurse, Park Eun Tak.

Viewers will get to see him reunite with the Doldam Hospital family as "Dr. Romantic 3" airs on April 28.
