'Doctor Cha' Receives Flak For Allegedly Romanticizing Infidelity

JTBC's blockbuster drama "Doctor Cha" is without a doubt the hottest series on television today!

The work focuses on the life of a housewife of 20 years who decides to pursue her medical career as a first year resident surgeon after surviving the brink of death.

It started with 5% ratings but it broke record after record as the story progressed, all thanks to Uhm Jung Hwa, Kim Byung Chul, Myung Se Bin and Min Woo Hyuk's outstanding synergy.

The drama's latest episode, which aired on May 14, achieved its personal best of 18% nationwide rating, which marked the work's highest rating yet.

Unfortunately, not all reactions have been positive as the work recently received backlash from the Crohn's disease misinformation issue.

The production team of the series apologized for it and is now reflecting on the issue. However, the drama is under fire once again due the drama allegedly romanticizing infidelity.

From the beginning, "Doctor Cha" unraveled the extramarital affair between Kim Byung Chul's Seo In Ho and Myung Se Bin's Choi Seung Hee, two respected professors at a university hospital.

In fact, the two have also produced offspring with their affair. Even the main character's family chose to hide the truth which is why some viewers are upset with the sensational infidelity story.

However, the viewers are given a new perspective through the latest episode as Cha Jung Suk, played by Uhm Jung Hwa, discovered the painful truth and chose to remain quiet about it.

Uhm Jung Hwa To Extract Revenge From Kim Byung Chul & Myung Se Bin

While many are still appalled by Cha Jung Suk's silence, episode 10 ignites the fire inside the drama's supporters as it hints at the main character's long overdue revenge.

In the following episodes, it is expected that Cha Jung Suk just won't sit back and endure the disrespect and unfaithfulness that have been going on for so long.

Cha Jung Suk's son, daughter and mother-in-law have also expressed their disgust at Seo In Ho's affair, demanding him to make a sound decision while everything is still savable.
