BLACKPINK Jennie To Possibly Appear in Marvel Cinematic Universe

BLACKPINK's Jennie marked her acting debut through the American series "The Idol." Following her but attention-grabbing appearance, the now idol-actress is receiving more spotlight in the Hollywood scene.

Based on a report by a media outlet on June 11, after her series debut in HBO's "The Idol" this June, Kim Jennie made headlines again as she is might be the next K-star to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In addition to the news, the superstar might join the cast of the series that revolves around an Asian superhero team named Team Agents of Atlas. The speculations have been floating around since 2022.

What's more interesting is that fans noticed that Asian actors featured in the MCU namely: Claudia Kim, Fala Chen, and Benedict Wong have followed BLACKPINK's Jennie on Instagram.

Jennie is reportedly to portray Luna Snow also known as Seol Hee, a K-pop artist, and superhero that has the power of ice manipulation.

In addition to her potential role, Luna is a Korean-English-speaking hero who mainly serves as a protector of the Pacific Rim but has also saved the world from threats.

Since the news occupied international headlines, Jennie's agency, YG Entertainment, has not released any statement yet regarding the reports. Hence, some fans are eagerly excited to see the idol-actress act on screen again.

BLACKPINK's Jennie to Follow Park Seo Joon's Footsteps in MCU?

If proven true that BLACKPINK's Jennie will appear in the project, she is the next Korean star to make it to MCU following Park Seo Joon, who is about to make his Hollywood debut by appearing in the soon-to-release movie "The Marvels."

The Korean heartthrob takes the role of Prince Yan and is expected to share the frame with big international stars like Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, Samuel Jackson, and more.

"The Marvels" is scheduled to premiere in November 2023.

On the other hand, Jennie, together with BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa, are currently on their world tour.

Last May, Jennie proved her global influence and made her first-ever appearance at the Met Gala and the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
