THIS ‘Reborn Rich’ Actor Mistook Song Joong Ki’s Wife As Staff Member Because of ONE Thing
Kim Young Jae talked about the popularity of "Reborn Rich" and recalled the advantages he experienced after joining the K-drama. On top of it, he also shared his first time meeting Song Joong Ki's wife.
One of the most talked-about K-dramas of 2022, the webtoon-based series gained huge fame not just locally but also internationally. Starring Song Joong Ki as Sunyang Group employee Yoon Hyun Woo, he was reborn as Jin Do Joon, the grandson of the company's founder, Jin Yang Chul, played by Lee Sung Min.
In the series, the Hallyu star played as the on-screen son of Kim Young Jae, who portrayed Jin Yoon Ki, the youngest son of Jin Yang Chul.
Six months after the series aired its finale episode, Kim Young Jae looked back at the memorable moments behind "Reborn Rich."
Kim Young Jae Mistook Song Joong Ki's Wife for Staff Member
During his appearance in "Radio Star," Kim Young Jae says he met Song Joong Ki's wife, Katy Louise Saunders, during the filming of "Reborn Rich."
When asked about his encounter with the British actress, the 47-year-old actor said that she visited the set often.

However, Kim Young Jae initially thought that Katy Louise Saunders was a staff member because of how she got along with everyone.
"The production team and cast members had dinner after the filming of 'Reborn Rich' ended. At that time, Song Joong Ki's dating news had just been released," he said, as obtained by a media outlet, adding, "So we found out that his wife had come to the film set a lot but no one knew (that she was his fiancé). She came so quietly and meshed so naturally with everyone, we all thought she was a staff member."
To recall, Song Joong Ki confirmed his relationship status in December 2022. It was after the "Reborn Rich" finale was aired. At the time, rumor sparked that the lucky woman was a British actress.
A month later, the top star made his wedding announcement, adding that Katy Louise Saunders was pregnant with their first child.
Just this month, Song Joong Ki delivered the surprising news that he is now a father to a baby boy after he and his wife welcomed their bundle of joy.
He revealed in his fan cafe that his wife gave birth in Italy, Katy's hometown.
Kim Young Jae's Project After 'Reborn Rich'
As the interview continues, Kim Young Jae said that after the filming of "Reborn Rich," he and his family went on a vacation and were recognized because of the show as Song Joong Ki's dad .
After the JTBC series, he is set to appear in back-to-back series.
Kim Young Jae will play supporting roles in the mystery thriller series "Numbers" and portray a main character in "Maestra" with Lee Young Ae.
