While starring in "The Idol," BLACKPINK's Jennie is being speculated by Forbes to have her first Emmy nomination.  

BLACKPINK Jennie to Possibly Make it to Emmy, Grammy

Renowned media outlet Forbes claimed that newly-debuted actress and BLACKPINK member Jennie is eligible for nomination at the prestigious Emmy Awards.

On June 19, the outlet mentioned that Jennie may take on more acting and solo activities, while still doing her duties as a member of her group, BLACKPINK. 

"Jennie's performance on 'The Idol,' makes her eligible for prestigious accolades, including an Emmy. However, it remains to be seen if she will be submitted as a contender for the coveted title."

They added:

"Additionally, the music associated with the show might open doors for her to be considered for Grammy nominations in different categories."

YG Entertainment Comments on Jennie's Appearance in Marvel Project

At the beginning of June, Jennie received backlash for her appearance in HBO's "The Idol," which also marked her acting debut. Despite starting a career in acting, some fans were disappointed with the her role as it can have a negative impact on her image as a public figure.

Hence, despite the mixed reactions that Jennie received, Calvin Klein's global ambassador was able to make it at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, thanks to her participation at "The Idol."

Amid the controversy of her acting debut, rumors started circulating online that Jennie Kim might be the next K-star to join the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following Park Seo Joon.

In addition to the news, the Hallyu star might be cast in the series that revolves around an Asian superhero team named Team Agents of Atlas. The speculations have been floating since 2022.

However, after the news broke out, Jennie's agency, YG Entertainment, responded and released a statement, saying:

"It is not true that Jennie received an offer to be part of the Marvel project."

Meanwhile, BLINKs are still anticipating what will happen to Jennie's career as an actress. It has also been said that BLACKPINK members are on hiatus after concluding their world tour.
